    • Fairly clean. Great location, with an express bus to Manhattan that takes 12-15 minutes.

    Cons -

    • No ice machines are working. The ac stopped working during the night. Woke up and it was 82 degrees. Only stayed one night due to an emergency and no refund was given even though I purchased travelers insurance
    • Noisy. My room faced east, towards the New Jersey Route 3 highway, and it was loud. Noise from trucks barreling down the road, in spite of two white noise devices, earplugs, and pillow over my ears. Good grief, Renaissance; upgrade your window insulation.
    • the hotel was overbooked so I didn?t get the room I paid for till the next day. The shower was a a complete joke. Staff seemed uninterested in addressing issues.

    cleaning is very good

the room I stayed in is close to the elevator and it makes a noise, very annoying.

Great location close to shopping, restaurants, and the charming downtown area of Lyndhurst

First, it's pretty ridiculous that the hotel charges a fee for self-parking. There's nothing else around that small area but the hotel, so it's not like people would be parking there taking up spots from the hotel guests.

    4Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 10-7-2023

Yes. The hotel is right on top of a major highway. The constant noise from the 18 wheelers all night long made it impossible to sleep and I had a 250 mile drive the next morning! The decibel level was akin to a 737 jet liner overhead at 300 feet!!!

    4SandraPosted on: 9-4-2023

It was a convenient location for my family as the event we attended was just down the road.

The hotel hall had a huge wall of plastic hung and smelled musty and damp. The room was clean but the bathroom shower could have been cleaner. Upon trying to take a shower the water and sludge and dirt backed up from the drain into the bathroom. Not good!

    DECENT AMBENCE

The room was next to elevator so lots of noise the whole night-little kids playing at 2am, other hotel guest passing by with loud noises, suggest making such rooms as closets. It would be nice if Parking charges are clearly declared on booking apps.

    Location and customer service.

The room was great, but the bathroom shower can use an update. The shower head¿s nozzles were rusty and dirty, and the drain seemed very old.

    Great location off highway

Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights and cleaners never came to the room to remove garbage. Called the front desk and they said it wasn't in their policy to remove garbage.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 3-1-2022

I liked how quiet it was and how friendly and helpful the staff was. Would definitely stay here again.

I didn¿t really like the green lighting in the lobby they had at night, it was kind of off putting and eerie.

    1Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 1-10-2022

no much best thing for me.

The manager and service of the hotel is terrible, the staff broke into my room before I went back to the hotel to check out at 12:30 pm, and throw out my luggage to the lobby without calling you, Please think twice to book this hotel.

The rooms are beautifully decorated and always clean. The staff is extremely friendly. They always take the time to acknowledge us even if we're just walking through the lobby.

    Love everything about this hotel!

    Beds in room size

The balcony, no pool, and the restaurant

    4ToniPosted on: 6-1-2021

It looks fancy I pass by it all the time

I paid for a king and received a pull out queen bed that appeared to be in a conference room of some sort

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 5-18-2021

Decor, cleanliness, customer service and skyline view.

    Shower stall is too narrow.

    10PamelaPosted on: 5-18-2021

We frequently go to the Renaissance for a little "getaway".The staff is always so helpful and pleasant. It's a great feeling that they know us by name when we walk in. Hotel employee is usually at the front desk when we check in. He's wonderful and so helpful.

    No... We love the Renaissance!
