MainStay Suites Bismarck

Front desk wasn’t staffed at check-in or checkout. I had to call staff from a neighboring affiliated property to check in. There were trash bags in the hallways, common areas smelled like pot smoke, coffee machine didn’t work.

Location

Front Desk. Guy that worked on 3/10 literally was on his phone the entire time, Disrespectful when talking to him and never followed through with requests. We had to track down a cleaning lady ourselves. He shouldn't have a job.

Pool

The desk clerk never informed us that breakfast was available I heard him telling another customer that that was not that kind of hotel later I was told by the driver that breakfast was served on the other side of the hotel which is comfort inn.

The outlets and bed.

Had to go to the adjacent hotel for breakfast.

The water slides and pool

Very much so I couldn't check in at check in time it was 2.5 hrs after the schedule check in time the man that checked us in was very rude

The kids loved the two waterslides in the "waterpark".

The waterpark was FILTHY, I really mean gross. There was old food under the slide that you could tell had been there on the floor awhile. Black mold on the interior of the kiddy water feature that was visible to everyone, the drains had black sludge

Location

Dirty room. Pulled back the bed sheets and there was a dirty face mask under the sheets.

Room was very clean and roomy for our family of 5. The pool was awesome for the kids and the breakfast was good. Will definitely be going back.

The room we got was very nice and it was clean. I love that it had a full sized refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and a hot plate to cook on. The rooms are great.

The parking is terrible. Not many spots so we had to park in a business lot behind the hotel along with lots of other guests. There were signs that said no parking but we had no choice but to park and hope not to be towed!

I was under the impression that I was receiving two queens and pull out when I booked but only received a king and a pull out in the end it all worked out and slept comfortly

Staff was friendly and helpful and location was very convenient

Had two rooms - one was very musty smelling and there was a funky odor that permeated most of the building. Breakfast was disappointing - waffle batter was green - don't know if it had gone bad or what. Would be nice to have outside seating area.

Very clean place and breakfast was very good.if i have a chance to go to Bismarck I will definitely stay at this place.

I did not like all the dead bugs in the pool.

Being charged an 150.00 fee for having a birthday party which consisted of having 2 extra kids join my 2 kids and swim for 2 hours hours in the shithole pool before being pushed over by a drunk adult playing football in the kiddie pool.

I thought the place looked very worn down simple things could have been done to make it look better replace toilet seat cover the shampoo and conditioner bottles were all empty that were to us there was sticky stuff on our carpet the guy came up cleaned it and it was still somewhat sticky housekeeping needs to pay attention to when they're cleaning a little more and clean the corners and make sure the linen is clean when they put it on the bed

Wanted just a mini staycation for the family. Kids loved the slide.

On slide was down. Breakfast the next morning was pretty picked over. Assume they had a busy weekend and probably ran out of food. However, think they should have been better prepared. Forgot an item. Took me 5 days to finally talk to someone who could help me.

Location and in a quiet area.Beds and pillows were comfortable.

It was all good! No complaints!
