Shell Island Resort - All Oceanfront Suites features indoor and outdoor pools, an on-site restaurant, and nonsmoking suites with a kitchenette. The resort is 9.9 mi from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Guests will enjoy the convenience of direct beach access. An oceanfront terrace and a living room with a sofa bed are provided in each suite at Shell Island Resort. Suites feature 2 flat-screen TVs. Guests can enjoy a workout at the fitness center or use the business center at Shell Island Resort - All Oceanfront Suites. A sand volleyball court are also available. A gift and convenience shop is on-site for guests to purchase. This resort is within 15 minutes’ drive of Airlie Gardens and shopping at Mayfaire Town Center. Wilmington city center is about 20 minutes’ drive away.

- location, beach access, friendliness of the staff
- Location, view, beach access, pools were smaller but adequate. Really enjoyed the stay.
Cons -
- 11am checkout is a little early for an expensive beach resort but i guess i understand they need to turn the rooms over.
- The tub/showers fixtures (including the shower head and controls) in room 514 were disgustingly aged and weathered. Found a few stray hairs, but nothing terrible.
