Courtyard by Marriott New Bern

The staff of the hotel was incredibly friendly. And the location near the water provided great views.

The hotel is clearly older and could use some updates in the room.

Location near the river and the city of New Bern, NC.

We requested a river front room when reservation was made. Room given was not a river front. Staff initially would not change room. After, a 2nd conversation, she changed room.

The best thing about this hotel was that it is on the river.

The room was smaller than most in hotels of this caliber- no where to hang things. There was a small black bug in the bathtub during our stay. When we arrived, the staff did not wait on me immediately. One of them walked right by without saying anything.

Simply the River Front Balcony and the Gazebo was nice too. Just felt sorry for the patrons of Persimmons next door had to look at a Megatacht instead of the far more beautiful Mother Nature.

I thoroughly searched for a hotel that would help make a very emotional trip (a funeral) easier. The staff was wonderful, and my experience was exactly what I needed. I was able to rest, workout, and dine from the comfort of a clean, safe hotel.

1. Guests should receive an alert to be made aware their room is not ready; that way they could go eat or run an errand before going to the hotel. 2. Rooms should be more soundproofed. 3. Need more space in the workout center. 4. More bistro options.

After heating our room to comfort in the evening we were unable to get the temp down without several trips to the unit throughout the night. ¿¿. The cooler would not stay on even though it hadn¿t reached near the temperature set to.

The location is terrific, you can walk to the downtown area. The staff was excellent as well.

They offer Netflix on the TV but the internet is so slow that it constantly buffers so it's impossible to watch.

The cleanliness of the hotel was refreshing as was the location. Both gets a thumbs up.

Only issue we had was the room did not have an river view like it mentioned on the website. So, the frontdesk tried to accommodate us as much as possible by giving us a room that overlooked the dock. Wasn't what I expected, but we took it anyway.

The attitude of the staff when I told him that half way through the night when it started raining that our ceiling started leaking. (About 1;30 am. My husband said it wasn't worth moving to another room as the night was half over)

Was running late getting into town, so i asked my daughter to go to the hotel and make sure they didn't give my room away. I had already paid for the room ahead of time but they charged her without permission.

The pool was closed, was one of the reasons wanted to stay there, pool by the water. No notice until we got there.

Only problem was at the Bistro for breakfast. We had to wait 30 min. and then it still wasn't complete. When we got back to the room we realized our eggs were missing. We called down, they were quick to bring us the eggs we ordered. All was good.

The room was fantastic in every way!

No microwave in the room, but was available in the lobby.
