Candlewood Suites New Bern By IHG

We were charged $75 and it hasn’t been refunded like they said. Contacted the hotel and they gave me a number to call and it was useless. We had no pets nor wanted security. I won’t use this hotel again.

The hotel was modern and clean. I liked the kitchen area.

I know things are changing, but I don't like that housekeeping doesn't visit the room.

Rooms were spacious, updated. TV worked, Shower and bathroom very nice. Close to everything. Very clean. They do not clean rooms until you leave. You can get new towels but you must take them down and request.

The only thing that this hotel didnt have was breakfast. They did have free coffee available but its nice to be able to come down in the morning and have even a small breakfast. They did offer a little market to buy items but not fresh.

I liked the smiles that greeted me when I left and returned especially the male at the front desk.

Clean room and facilities. Friendly staff. Good price.

when we got there the front desk said that they knew nothing about us having a dog and charged us extra for the dog. Also I believe we asked for two queen size beds we got a room with one queen bed ( it felt smaller than a queen bed ).

I was doing disappointed with the maintenance and cleaning of this location. Details were not being taken care of. The bad was uncomfortable. No breakfast.

This hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly. Our stay was due to much stress situations. I was over the moon because of the staff the guest there. The free washer and dryers were a life saver. The location was perfect for no vehicle use.

The hotel is in a great location.The lady at check in was very friendly and walking in it smelled wonderful and clean.The room was clean, but had an old smell, whatever they have in the lobby needs to be in rooms also.

The room was small and didn't have two nightstands. One side was on the wall. The smell of the room when we walked in, but it was clean. When we checked in the price increased,from when we booked online.

Recliner in handicapped room was not adequate for relaxing and room was not cleaned properly, especially kitchen!

They added a $75 security deposit. Yes $75 then ¿.. told me it would be 5 to 7 days before it is released. Hilton brands and Marriott brands in my future.

Welcoming front desk staff! Very friendly. Room was fine. Neighbors were a little loud (slamming doors)

Didn¿t realize it was an extended stay- they explained that we had to bring towels down to exchange for clean ones. Didn¿t have any problems from staff during the exchange, just wasn¿t use to it. I also realized we¿re still living in a pandemic era.

Location, price, and staff

Very friendly service. Easy check in process. Room was clean enough but could have been a bit more clean. Good location near downtown New Bern.

Beds were supposedly queen but more double. The room had a weird smell, like an old cigarette smell. Rooms could have been a bit cleaner

Having in my room key deactivated before I checked out. The75$ pet fee is outrageous.

A little loud. Dogs barking and people making noise. Thin walls.

It was in a great location, it had a kitchenette fully stocked and very clean and the room size was really spacious. I can truly say this is now one of my favorite hotels to stay in in New Bern North Carolina. I will definitely be going back. Very clean!

Location to food, shopping. Well lit parking lot at night.

No swimming pool onsite, had to share with hotel next door. No continental breakfast. No ice machine, only the ice in the room refrigerator.

Good location, easy to find. Close to most all necessities.

Since they were full I had to park in the back but it had an easy access door there too. Not really a problem. Maybe it's a good problem to have.
