Convenient location

DOOR WAS DAMAGED. LOCK NOT SECURE!! I ended up not staying the second night due to security concerns. When I spoke with the representative about my issues she said there was nothing she could do about it.

Nature

The furniture was old. There was blood stains on the sheets like in spots. Dishes- burnt in stains on them.

Pool, sauna, hot tub, gym

Not really

Property was very nice. Bed was not that comfortable. I will be staying again because it was quiet and pleasant.

The garage was left open and I was there were bikes, but we were not given keys to unlock them for us to enjoy.

Location was great customer service upon arrival was ok. 05/10

The room we booked had no working air, smelled like fried fish upon arrival. Was told that maintenance would fix the issue but I had to call to get an update at 3pm that it was not fixable and the “jacuzzi suite” we were moved to is where we had to stay. The suite was a spare that hadn’t been used in what smelled and felt like months which made the rest of the stay uncomfortable.

I really liked the location. The view was pretty and it was very quiet .

The property has not been well maintained. The shower in the master bath did not work. The sliding doors to the balcony were impossible to open and the second bathroom had black mold. Additionally there was an alive roach found in the dining room. When I checked out and informed someone, they didn’t seem very concerned and questioned why I didn’t call about the issues . It was Christmas and I did t want to bother anyone and I shouldn’t have these problems. Booked a room somewhere else and cut my loss.

Would love to have been able to leave a real review but never to to even see what I had reserved for the weekend. After confirming a check in for 8-9 pm, I found out that the address listed for the rental (property management of the rental I'm assuming) was already closed upon arrival. The contact numbers were no help after leaving messages and even had blocked calls when we were trying to figure out what we were supposed to do about the rental. All that to say we ended up having to get a hotel for the weekend- highly recommend the Doubletree hotel in New Bern.

The only thing that I didn't like was that some of the sockets were coming out the wall. The only issue that I had was that I booked for a two night stay but they only programed the key card for a one night stay. Which in case we had to wait for maintenance to come get the key and go reprogram it and they get it back to us.

Property was clean, wildlife was everywhere- we saw a group of deer almost every night. Area is quiet.

Very steep, shaky metal spiral staircase going up to the 2 twin beds, need to bring extension cords, no plugs near night stands, double staircase going into the house is in serious disrepair, back deck is in rough shape, showers were similar to a motel 6 with no pressure. Generally very outdated and in need of repair.

I really enjoyed the view from the Balcony and all the activities they had to offer it was very nice and clean . I would love to stay there again sometime with a longer time

The only thing I didn't like was I couldn't stay longer

Bed bugs , found out we had bed bugs at 11pm. No one was available to ancer the 24hr help number. After having to leave, we finally got someone on the phone at 830am. The response was that we would send maintenance out. What is maintenance going to do? Had to go back to Booking just to get help with a refund. The place was not as described as well.

I like everything about the place my own personal balcony in the master bedroom. Peace and quiet the scenery and everybody was nice and friendly people

Bed and pillows was too hard

Rooms and bathrooms were dirty smelled really bad when you first walk in and a bed was broken. Big roaches in the washer dryer area and unknown bugs found on the bed

I love staying in waterwood it’s a beautiful area

This visit was not like the rest they were not able to give me keys I had to have maintenance let me in and if we went anywhere we had to call security and wait for them to arrive to let us back in. VERY INCONVENIENT. I was not given keys until the following afternoon around 4pm. It caused me to be delayed on plans I had for the day. Also u can tell that particular unit is not used often the toilet seat was old and wore out the bathroom shower was dirty as well as the furniture.

The view was nice and the resort was quiet.

Broken furniture and appliances. Dirty laundry from the previous people. Dishes and appliances were dirty. The refrigerator was missing shelves and plastic holders for the door items. Linens were the only clean items. The bathtub and toilet looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all.

It was so peaceful, quiet, and clean

No restaurants.. Just 1 pizza shop that closes at 8pm. The main restaurants like fast food approx. 45 mins away. Full kitchen so just bring food to cook, wish we would have known that.
