Staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. Location is great.
Stated renovation is in progress but didn’t see any renovations going on. Very outdated room and mold all in the room and bathroom. Definitely needs a thorough cleaning throughout. But could not complain about the price compared to surrounding hotels for their nightly rate.

Excellent location within 15 minutes of majority of things. From events, theaters, parks, concerts, restaurants and more. Definitely recommend and would stay again. Great value and excellent breakfast offered. Both hot and cold items offered to eat on site or take with you if you have to leave early to hit the road.

Location was great. Everything was close. The man that checked me in (Albert??) was awesome. Great personality! The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows.
Room definitely needs an upgrade. The desk chair was threadbare, no shower curtain & the window curtains were covered in mold. Unfortunately I did not find the mold until the morning of check out. The shower pressure was extremely low & it was either freezing cold or boiling hot. 2 of the 4 lamps did not work

Location is good
It was booked for my friend . Too much smoke smell form nearby room made him to vacate overnight . It’s not value for the money either and end up in checking out early .

This place is a great deal. Very good breakfast with waffle maker. The room was clean, linens completely decent. It was much better than I expected. I will use it again if I am in this area.
Minor!!I needed better/clearer instructions to access internet. Had to go back to front desk to clarify: use the one named "staff" and NOT the one named "Independence hotel" - The regulator on the water tap in the bathroom was hinky. The elevator was "under maintenance" so door closed very very slow?

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The air worked well and the bathroom was large. Good value for the money and great location.
Hotel is very old and looks it. It could use some updating for sure. The pillows on the bed should be upgraded to king to match the bed size.
