The Econo Lodge hotel is conveniently located off Interstate 20, within walking distance from the Vicksburg National Military Park, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers' Vicksburg District, the local YMCA and one of the largest outlet shopping centers in the area. This hotel is minutes from area attractions like the Vicksburg Convention Center and Auditorium, the Mississippi River, Ameristar Vicksburg casino, DiamondJacks Casino and Rainbow Casino. Additional points of interest in Mississippi include: Vicksburg Battlefield Museum, Miss Mississippi Pageant and Pemberton Square mall. Vicksburg's famous antebellum homes are minutes from the hotel. There are a wide variety of restaurants and cocktail lounges located in the surrounding area. Be sure to take advantage of the seasonal outdoor pool. - Room was clean and surprisingly quite for being close to busy road.
- Nothing
- Convenient to the interstate and restaurants and low traffic area.
Cons -
- Satellite TV went down and didn't come back on. I feel hotel could have offered a little bit of money back especially since it was a Sunday and nothing touristy was open.
- Everything. The room smelled bad, the bathroom was small, dated and had rust. We used our personal blankets and laid on top of the bed.
- Requested a non-smoking room, but the room had definitely had smokers in it recently. Cigarette burns were apparent on the bedspread.
