Pros +

• Location
• I liked the close proximity to the convention center and to be able to walk to dining options. The lobby of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. It contains high ceilings and old architecture that has been well maintained.
• The hotel has onsite parking, for a reasonable nightly fee. We were in town for a baseball game and it was very convenient for that purpose. The hotel offers a free shuttle to/from Busch Stadium, but it's also walking distance.

Cons -

• We had NO cold water, shower drain was clogged, maintenance could not fix it and left the bathroom a mess after trying to clear the drain. They offered to downgrade our room with no price difference.
• The view from the room wasn't good as there was a decorative wall right in front so the only view was up towards the sky and the upper floor next door. The room was very noisy you could hear people talking in the rooms next to me and in the hallway.
• The hotel seems historic, but it's also very outdated and feels dirty. The grout on the shower floor was very obviously dirty, the carpet felt moist to walk on barefoot, the pillows were very lumpy. Just not a great experience, especially for the price.
