    Pros +

    • Great hotel and reasonable price if you are looking for a clean room and comfortable bed.
    • Exactly what we wanted for the purpose & the price. Just needed somewhere to arrive late & sleep before Valleyfair in the morning. Clean & comfy. Staff was delightfully friendly & totally sealed the deal.
    • Clean and comfortable

    Cons -

    • The manager tried to charge us $100 a night deposit besides the cost of the room. He only would accept cash.
    • Neighborhood is a little sketchy.
    • Poor breakfast - just toast , juice and coffee

Room was fine, not fancy. I appreciate it being clean.

Someone had smoked in the hallway. Odor did eventually go away.

I loved that the beds were soft and comfortable. Not like most upscale hotels where it feels as if you're laying on a board with a cushion.

The place is very dated but it's clean and as my husband said, it's just a place to sleep.

Excellent location close to the Faire, price was perfect, staff was wonderful.

    5TeddyPosted on: 7-20-2025

The area was close to the casino so, that was good.

The room was subpar for 144 dollars and towels were yellowish.

Clean and quiet. Staff allowed us an early check-in on our room that allowed us to dress for a wedding. Very friendly and accommodating. Nice restaurant next door too! We'd stay again.

Just very minor suggestions. Rags provided would be nice to wipe up water instead of using towels, something to hang robe and other clothes in the bathroom would be convenient. The remodeling is nice but little touches like painting behind toilet, neaten up caulk around tub.

    we didn't eat there

we didn't like the bathroom, dark yellow towels, blood stains on the walls behind the door, build up stains on the walls the bed was hard to lay on, the smell in the room was horrible, the vent fan in the bathroom was dirty with dust and dark yellow cigarette color, the bath tub was very slippery to where hard to stand up in. very bad experience for the price it charges ridiculous. the door it won't close tight it would move every time the back door opened. bad I didn't take photos

Front desk check in goodRooms clean

Terrible smell hallways and into room, like old smoke into carpets and mattresses. Area upon entrance strong cigarette smoke we needed to walk through which appeared area staff and customer smoke area.

Clean. Modest. Awesome mattresses. Quiet. Great location. Privately owned, attentive owners. High definition tv was very enjoyable. Towels and beds fresh and clean. Good water pressure. Don’t overlook this special motel. Great value! Bonus: located next door to a family run cafe. Ruby’s. Breakfast was excellent! Try the Special Baileys coffee!

Hallway downstairs smelled of cigarettes. The owner had huge fans going to help remedy. The carpets throughout the building were very clean, the building exterior and interior were clean and neatly maintained. Our room and the second floor hallway did not smell at all.

    8PatriciaPosted on: 10-2-2023

The room was clean and close to where we wanted to go.

There was no breakfast. For that price should have had something.

    5PatrickPosted on: 9-5-2023

Location, it was close to our destination and to a restaurant. The bathroom was very clean.

I would have liked a coffee pot in the room. I would have preferred being on 1st floor since there was no elevator.

    Convenient Location, inexpensive

Halls smelled of tobacco, (not room)

    7GaryPosted on: 6-5-2023

Staff friendly, bed comfortable, room older buy clean.

    AC unit loud.

Cozy, comfy, friendly staff, and quiet. If you are looking for luxurious, this isn't it. But if you are looking for pleasant, affordable accomodations, it may be for you.

First attempt to get the shower to work failed. It took a little effort. We were in a nonsmoking room, but the halls smelled like smoke.

    5ChariPosted on: 9-19-2022

The bed was comfortable. Location good.

The room was very hot, old ac took forever to cool it down. Price compared to other properties with better amenities was not good. No pool. Limited coffee. No microwave.
