Hyatt House Rochester/mayo Clinic

Clean, quiet,

Parking is always an issue.

The hotel is conveniently located; I look for Hyatt House whenever I can. This is a newly renovated facility, very nicely done. We arrived shortly before midnight and appreciated the care available at that hour.

Only positive thing it that it was security floors.

Was told it had a jacuzzi. None. Said no smoking someone had smoked in bathroom because nicotine ran down walls. Molding near floor showed there was a hole in wall from something. Ice machine did not work on 6th floor.

Very nice furnishings and the buffet breakfast has a lot to offer. Parking is convenient, free shuttle to Mayo Clinic and walking distance to the BEST restaurant- Chez Bojji wonderful food! I stay here for every appointment.

The hot tub

The price that was paid the breakfast was not what was posted on the website heat did not work was very cold in room and the light switch was sizzling their was a short in the switch

Having a cart for our luggage. Having a wheelchair available to use after outpatient surgery.

No freezer in refrigerator to freeze our ice packs. The shower door leaks water on the floor from the gap where the shower door hinge opens. The 2:00 a.m. train.

I was very impressed with this hotel. The room was fantastic the breakfast was great too! I will definitely stay here again if I¿m in the Rochester area.

It would¿ve been nice if it was connected to the skyway. But it was still just a short walk to downtown so it wasn¿t that big of a deal.

Breakfast was good, plenty of options. And it was hot and fresh.

A shuttle for short trips to nearby locations would have been nice.

Was within walking distance of Mayo clinic, offered a free breakfast, and was one of the more affordable hotels in the area. Seemed recently built or decorated.

Our first room had a toilet which did not work. The staff attempted to fix it and moved us to a similar room when the toilet could not be fixed. If you like pets, they allow pets; however, if you don't like seeing pets in your hotel you might want to choose a different hotel.

We like this hotel, it’s a little less expensive than the Hilton and has a free breakfast. The rooms are quiet and its close to Mayo.

One time the soup had no noodles.

I went down 3 minutes before breakfast closing time and they had already put everything away. No breakfast.

The room was excellent for the price. The man at the front desk was more than helpful explaining the parking situation. I loved the smell of breakfast in the morning even though I could not eat before my surgery.

I did not like the parking situation. I stayed at another Hotel where you paid for parking in the public parking areas and they set everything up for you. You gave your phone, plates and paid at the desk and then you got a text and once you acknowledged the text your parking was good to go without looking to move a vehicle or whatever. I think that you should be able to park in a meter spot after 8PM or whatever the free parking starts and then tell the counter what spot you have and then do all the above to ensure you have the spot for however long you need it for the day. I did get blessed when a person left, but it would be great if it were more simple. It could even be as simple as having you be able to pay the meters during the free parking overnight in advanced and then the meter is paid for as long as the person paid. That is all!

Most of the staff was exceptional!

Parking is terrible. I don’t have a large vehicle, but between cement columns and small parking spaces, my husband felt it was necessary to still get out and guide me back.

Breakfast was good.
