    Cons -

    • Room was cold. Couldn't turn off a/c. Couldn't turn on heat. Had to ask for extra blankets. Noisy - could practically hear neighbors breathing thru the thin adjoining door.
    • Couldn't get into my room on the initial entry. I was on the 7th floor and I had to go back to the front desk to let them know my key didn't work. I was tired from my drive, but eventually gained entry into my room.
    • Water pressure and temperature in shower it was cold . Also TV didn't work

Unhelpful service from customer service at front desk, TV reception terrible and for price of room-should have a bit more variety that doesn't cost 19.99 to watch a movie. Coffee awful- No info in room. hard to find way around, parking awful/handicapped.

    Room service and maid service

We were given a room with an old bathroom. There water in the shower flashed from hot to cold

    6BradleyPosted on: 9-14-2024

    The location is unbeatable.

The rooms are tiny. Totally out dated. Thin walls. Very noisy. The door to the adjoining room had a couple inch gap between bottom of the door and the floor. I could hear everything from next door. The bathroom is terrible and the shower terrible.

Mayo gonda building right across the street, extremely easy access to the clinic, restaurant very good, reasonable prices

Junk coffee maker, crap coffee, signs that say Starbucks but after looking all over for it staff informed me they left over a year ago, had to walk around the block to dunking donuts every morning, no breakfast until 6:30

    Location

5 star price for 1 star room. Bathroom had no vanity to put things on. No one cleans or replaces dirty linens unless you call. We were right next to the elevator shaft which we heard all the time. Terrible view of utility bld and parking ramp.

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 4-29-2024

Location across the street from Mayo Clinic.

There was construction that closed off the lobby and also the door closest to the Mayo Clinic. For me, it was a huge inconvenience. I had to use another door that put me about a block ¿s walk from Mayo entrance.

    1Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 4-24-2024

Under construction...No warning Poor signage to locate check-in No coffee carafe in pot No washcloths Got lost twice. Had requested room near the elevator Husband dying of Cancer Added $ 20 unchanged. Restaurant closed It was horrible.

We always stay at this hotel. It is very convenient to get to the Mayo clinic. The restaurant is very convenient as well. I highly recommend the Kahler Grand.

Getting to the pool could be easier. We ended up not going to the pool because I've recently had back surgery and couldn't climb the stairs.

    8Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 1-14-2024

The convenience for the mayo clinic is outstanding.

They put us an the older part of the hotel. Our room was hotel and they're was no fan. Very small room and tight in the shower area.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! If you're going to Mayo Clinic this is where you want to stay.

One by one they have shut down their restaurants. This makes it a little inconvenient at meal time. However, there are many restaurants and food options near by. Victoria's Italian Restaurant is fantastic!

    Clean, quiet.

Something needs to be done about check in around the 4:30pm time frame. It's a madhouse. I would prefer parking in the ramp and walking to check in. Could I receive a code or something to get into the ramp prior to check in?

    10MarciaPosted on: 7-22-2023

The location. The staff was amazing. I¿m disabled and they helped me out in everything.

    location to Mayo clinic

Bar of soap for shower was 1 inch by 1 1/2 inch. Quarter inch thick. Did not have larger ones. Gave us a room at farthest location and it was hot. could not adjust the temp. small and cramped room and bathroom.

    1SabrinaPosted on: 6-26-2023

The whole experience. I am wheelchair bound and expressed this when booking. This was said 2 times, had to cancel the first booking due to it not accommodating. On arrival the room was still inaccessible for myself. Poor interactions. Wouldn't stay again.

    Room was nice,clean

The restaurant was very expensive and food was horrible.

    Location

Air wasn¿t working - huge cob webs in room, out dated and very warn woodwork

    5Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 5-29-2023

    Closeness to Mayo.

Pool facilities were closed down. Main reason for the stay. Everything looked abandoned. Saw others using hot tub later. Very disappointing. Lost my cars keys. Someone turned them in, and when asked was joked there was a recovery fee. Would have tipped.
