Ironwood Lodge, Lake Elmo, Series by Marriott

Both ice machines were not working, when I paid extra for breakfast I expected to eat at machine shed like I always have, instead I had cold eggs under cooked sausage and no waffle maker potatoes etc.

Location

Breakfast buffet should be included within the stay. Thought it was but found out it wasn?t. It was included at similarly priced and rated options in same area

The common areas, stairs pool hallways were not very clean. Both ice machines were broken.

Not a single plunger anywhere. The toilet got plugged up and was unusable. When i called the front desk at about 2 a.m. she was very rude. I called from my cell phone because i didn't see the phone in the room and she lectured me.

One thing that stood out was the front desk staff. I spoke to one and check in with another different person and no one was on same page and no communication with each other.

Newer lodge style, different than many other Holiday Inn's

There was a small squeaky wind turbine outside the hotel parking lot that was quite noisy. Could actualy hear it inside our room and it was annoying.

Comfortable beds and extra pillows.

For breakfast, the only drink available was coffee. There should be milk and/or water put out, because not everyone is a coffee drinker. I¿m one of them.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was polite and helpful. There were several complimentary EV chargers.

The hotel was quite far from the highway without much nearby. Breakfast was not included.

The room was very clean and the hotel's location was excellent for accessibility for the area.

They have a smoking area right outside the front door. The smokey smell invaded the lobby. Whenever I entered or exited the hotel I had to endure the smog from four to five smokers sitting on the bench or hanging out just outside the lobby door

I loved the staff who were so helpful and the fact that there was a restaurant attached with a enclosed walkway from the hotel to the restaurant, so you can get to the restaurant without going outside when it snowed. It snowed 4 inches when we were there.

They let too many people into the indoor swimming pool. Kids with parties and families were so noisy we couldn't talk.Some families had 35 guests in the pool and around the tables at both ends of the pool,so the rule of 5 guests per rm. should be enforce

Quiet, clean, near family.

No breakfast. Due to onsite restaurant? which is pricey and gimmicky.

The soundproofing was bad¿ person next door played video games and we could hear every sound effect. Could almost evesdrop on next door conversations also with out leaving our room.

the hotel was not able to locate my reservation - thankfully they did have a room available! I have never had this happen before booking through a 3rd party . . .

Clean, close to interstate, availability of EV charger.

Cleanliness

Our HBO didn¿t work in our room. We told them twice but nothing was said about it.

The pool area

Beds were uncomfortable. We had at least three bugs in our room when we arrived.

I didn¿t think the mattress was the best. We weren¿t informed when checking in that the rooms weren¿t cleaned if you stayed more than one night. We would have hung up our towels to reuse. The front desk did bring us fresh towels.

Hotel is in a convenient location. Shopping and restaurants are all in walking distance.

I am not a frequent traveler or hotel guest. Room met all my needs but I don't have a lot to compare it with.

I did not find any hotel information card, probably due to covid. TV card said hotel info at ### but when I entered that number it said, not available.. Machine Shed Restaurant attached to hotel but no information on menu or hours of service.
