    Cons -

    • Did not receive a text with check-in info. Phone number posted on front door and in reception area was called three times but never answered. Finally got the correct number from another guest .
    • The front door of the Inn was left unlocked so only my room door was locked. Housekeeper made a mistake and attempted to enter my room while I was still in bed, but did not announce themselves so I thought someone was attempting to break in. Felt unsafe.
    • dated bathroom and tv

It was just like being at home with all of the comforts and without the responsibilities. Wonderful breakfasts!

good communication with staffroom was large

far from town center (couldn't walk)very dated decor

Cute room, lovingly designed, comfy bed, old world charm, coffee & tea (and even little snacks) provided, good shower, very clean, off street parking, easy access to Acadia National Park, breakfast is provided in a breakfast restaurant in Bar Barbor (yes, it’s a 15 minutes drive - but you get a choice of different breakfast options and it tastes really good), good value for money.

There is no staff around. From check-in to check-out we didn’t see anybody. It’s not a big problem as everything was perfectly fine - it just feels impersonal for such a nice Inn.

Heathwood was amazing. Got a last minute booking when everything else was full and ended up adding another day on in a different room there, both were amazing. The staff was super helpful and firendly

A comfortable bed, nice bath, small parlour with hot water kettle, tea, snacks.

Good lighting for the parking area but not well lit from the parking to the front door. The front door light was on a motion sensor which was spotty and didn't always come on.

    Very clean, quiet and quaint

We didn’t go. I didn’t realize breakfast was downtown Bar Harbor

No Staff onsite to answer questions.

First off, we arrived at 9:30 at night on a Thursday evening. There was absolutely no lights from the parking lot to the B&B. I almost broke my neck trying to carry our luggage and trying to walk. The light went on when we got onto the porch absolutely no lights at all Until we walked up the four steps to get to the porch and then there was a motion sensor light on that went on let me reiterate I don’t care if it was 700 a night or 100 a night there should’ve been lights from the parking lot to the facility. I am thoroughly disgusted And who are we supposed to complain to nobody picks up the phone nobody’s there finally the next day, I’m sorry two days later I saw a lady the sauna that we booked didn’t even work. I got hotter water in my bathroom really upsetting forget about the money that I paid. That was way overpriced, but upsetting about the facilities. There was cobwebs in the corner that nobody took care of in the bathroomradiators were all rusty. The coffee pots are about 100 years old. I don’t even think that they sell them anymore I can’t say enough bad things and the quilt that was used in the zip up bag was dirty.

The place would’ve been nice if we had lights from the parking lot to the facility and maybe a small Keurig coffee pot up-to-date the cobwebs are gone and that the blanket was clean inside the zip up bag. I have stayed in way cheaper, motels, hotels, and B&Bs that were a lot better

Breakfast was fine but required driving to a restaurant miles from the inn.

It was disappointing that I didn’t get to meet the proprietors. I am not a fan of the self-check-in model for B&AB’s.

The private sauna was great.Room was clean. The owner was really responsive when I called him because they forgot to put my room key on the table.Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Self check-in. Nobody is there to welcome you or check you in. They leave the key of the room in an envelope. The breakfast was really dispointing. You get a voucher for a breakfast in town. In a gas station... For the price of the room, I would have expected more.Room is very small, and bathroom very large. Only small details but we had a calendar of 2021 in the bathroom... notes that are not relevant anymore. The guest book needs to be updated to reflect the new policies. You can clearly tell the owner changed recently, but did not update anything. Pictures on Booking needs updating too.The common areas don't look like the pictures. The dining room does not exist anymore, it's just a room with a fridge and some chairs. Too many furnitures in there. Overall a disappointing experience, way too expensive. Not worth $250/night!

    3GeraldPosted on: 10-12-2024

Way over-priced for location and amenities.

Service was non-existent. The free breakfast was 8miles away or the distance from Highland Park to downtown Chicago or Alpharetta, GA to downtown Atlanta or South San Francisco to the Golden Gate Bridge… The room was small. It was far away from activities. And it was expensive.

The rooms were lovely. When I made my complaints, they responded. the breakfast, which was off site, was fantastic.

Air condition was so loud we could use it. Balcony looked over a highway and there was traffic all night

    9WendyPosted on: 9-8-2024

The location was great. It’s just a little out of town so peaceful and quiet

There was an issue with the hot water the first night we stayed but they came immediately to fix it and we had hot water the rest of the stay

    9FelipePosted on: 8-2-2024

The location is great. Not in the middle of Bar Harbor, but close enough. The room is comfortable and the breakfast was a great surprise.

I found it a little confusing arriving at the property. I missed the name of my room in the middle of the text. After I texted the property, I received it and everything was ok

    2DavePosted on: 6-28-2024

Breakfast was delicious but off site 7 miles away. One cup of coffee.

A bug crawling over me in bed in the middle of the night. A shower too small to pick up the soap. Not enough hot water. No response from offsite management when power went out. No water first morning. Asked for them to clean and change the bed after finding bugs, they said that housekeeping looked and there were no more bugs. They didn’t clean or change the bed. I made 5 calls and the bed was changed at 6 pm. Communication was pathetic. No one on site. This is billed as a suite. It is NOT a suite. There is no where to sit in the room, two straight backed chairs but no where to sit comfortably. An oversized dysfunctional bath. Overpriced. Because of all the issues we want a refund.

    Comfortable room, nice deck.

Further from Bar Harbor proper than we expected but not a deal breaker. No daily housekeeping.
