Howard Johnson by Wyndham Malden Boston Area

It's the only motel in Malden. Room = cleaner than expected based on the reviews I'd read. Quieter than expected - request a room facing the front! (The back is apparently v. noisy). Check-in was pretty easy. Bathroom = pretty clean. (Lightbulb died tho.)

The front hallway smells like ten million dogs and people have urinated on the rug—awful. Mattresses = cheap; you can feel the springs. Not a great area. Only one place to get food - across the street.

My room was one of the renovated rooms. Clean, modern.

The outside had a lot of broken chairs, mattresses, and rat traps. The stairs to the back rooms were kind of scary. The hotel was very loud at night with activity. Slamming doors and conversations

Nothing. I received 37 bedbug bites on my face, arms, legs, feet. Needed at $21 prescription cream to reduce itch/inflammation

Absolutely nothing

Absolutely everything. The person who checked us in was rude. The parking was not adequate and poorly lit. The room smelt of stale air. We found hair in the ¿clean¿ towels. And smelled of weed. Needless to say we didn¿t stay and asked for refund

Close ish to Salem.

Pretty bad experience. First room came with a complimentary side of fries and a water bottle. (Pic attachted) Floor not swept, hair on bathroom floor, all bed sheets were stained. Next room that was offered to us after complaints had a dirty hand tow

Outside rugs and window curtains are dirty. The receptionist very unprofessional and rude.

Hotel was great! Check in and out times were wonderful. Enjoyed the breakfast.

I wasn't able to shower due to the shower having been painted. Paint chips were all over the bottom of the tub. Also for a smoking room no ashtrays were provided.

It was in a convenient location.

Dingy and dirty; too disgusting to stay. We left!! Carpets are very old; external paint peeling off the building. Windows either didn't open or lacked the safety stops to avoid falling out. Essentially, basic maintenance is 10 years delayed. Yuck

The only thing I liked was the price.

The room wasn't what I expected. The light and exhaust made a loud noise. The fridge kept going onand off, also making a loud noise. Very dissatisfied.!!!

The room stank of smoke and was advertised on your website as a non-smoking room. I am STILL trying to get my money back after checking out less than 20 minutes after checking in.

Lots of parking

Smelled like smoke in the room. Stains on the ceiling above the bed. Room was very dark because there are only a couple of dim lamps in the room
