Captain's Lodge Motel

This is not a hotel but an apartment building. We got there at 9:30 and office was closed and locked

Room was clean

We waited for one hour for anybody to come give us a room key. Apparently she had been sleeping. There was absolutely no hot water so we could not shower.

Decent location, easy parking

1 star hotel, pillow and blanket smells like sweat, very uncomfortable sleep, bathroom very outdated, bunch of stains.?.

Location as 1/2 mile walk to beach.

Internet was spotty and plugin didn?t all work.

The staff was very responsive and we were surprised and pleased to see that bathroom towels were replaced daily and they made the beds daily. Well done!

Clean room, great location.

Could have had some rugs on floor and some pictures or decos. The door on the bureau was broken but I think they are still renovating the place.

Big room, very clean and good location

The room was big, but very sparse, just the beds and drawers , tv fridge ..no seating area..it was fine as it was only a quick stay just seemed like empty space..but was very clean.

Convenience of late arrival, cleanliness, price and location

Excellent refrigerator with small freezer and an excellent microwave. No coffee maker. It had 2 exit doors and one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in. My wife agreed

When I arrived and reported to the office, there was no one there. I knocked on doors and hollered, but no one answered. It took about 5 minutes before a workman came and said the manager ¿stepped out for a moment.¿

It was that only one available last minute and we needed a place to stay for one night

The room was covered in ants and when I got up in the morning, they were all in my bags so I had to clean everything before I could leave.

It is a newly renovated motel. We Very spacious room with high ceilings, comfortable beds, new air conditioning units that work well. Very clean rooms. Not fancy but nice.

There were these small ants that came in the room. They didn¿t do anything but were a few crawling around.

Clean room. Adequate pool. Great location.

The vaulted ceiling was great and the bed was big and very comfortable. The room was large and within biking distance (really less than 2 miles!) of beaches. And it's across the street from a great food coop. Service was friendly.

It's shabby and really needs painting and repair. The pool was green with algae; we wouldn't swim in it. Also, please add more towels! For over $--- a night I expected better.

Your staff is really the only positive thing. The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful, suggesting places to go, and also updating us about area mandates. The man who was at the desk at check out was equally nice, in person and on the phone.

Flies in the room, fly smashed against the wall, suspicious stains on both box springs (maybe signs of bedbugs), stained carpet, dirty drawers, black mold on and in refrigerator, stained easy chair, bathroom door coming off if its badly rusted hinges. ¿

The location is great its staff were nice and friendly.Its is clean inside the room everywhere else outside grounds ...notso

Its old and in need of updating ,toilets showers beds decor need updating ...carpets are really old and need replacing

Easy to get too. Rooms where very quite, there where 3 kids next to us and they had some energy going on but when they where in the room you heard nothing. Loved the high ceilings.

Something bit my granddaughter several times in the night. The shower needed some work. Then need to clean around the ceilings. The freezer should be thawed out.

Easy location. Dunks nearby.

carpet stains

Location (less than a mile to the beach, 2 miles to downtown Gloucester, 2+ miles to downtown Rockport), pool, on bus route, small upscale supermarket across the street, spacious rooms

Beds should be treated for dust mites Shower curtain liners should be checked weekly and cleaned Need larger trash can in main room

Location is great. Right between downtown Gloucester and Rockport shopping. Easy on and off highway.

Room was dirty; hair in the shower, dirty shower floor. We were told upon check in that there was no maid service that would come in and if we needed anything we needed to tell the front desk between 11 - 8. Wifi and television did not work.
