Ranch House Motel

The location was the best thing I liked about the Ranch House Motel in Marksville, LA.

There was no closet to hang my clothes in and the bed was too small. I had requested a Queen size bed; but was given a double, although the room was non-smoking like I wanted.

Front desk staff was pleasant.

The hotel room was very unclean. We ended up checking out due to the ac not working well and it smelled like mildew. No refund was given. The staff offered to move us to another room but I can't imagine it was any better. We declined. Terrible hotel.

I did not like anything about this hotel it was run down dirty musky smelling. There was a burn from the iron on the carpet in two different spots, burn marks from cigarettes on the refrigerator & the tub and the back of the toilet. I don't recommend

Nothing. But it was the only one available at the last minute.

Everything. Bugs, dirty floors, broken locks, loose door handles. I felt very unsafe. It was so dirty I chose to sleep on top of the bedspread. Shower did not work.

I liked the hotel but I didn't stay because it was to far from my destination.

They offer no breakfast

I was not aware there was a breakfast. I just do not see any information that breakfast was available.

There was n nothing I didn’t like. I liked most things about the place. It was a nice clean place for the price. Check in and out was easy and it was quiet at night. It was close enough to the place I came to do. The place was quiet. I did not attempt to use the Wi-Fi.

Bad parking spots

Right off the highway and close to where I was going.

Flat pillows. The hot water in the shower would go from comfortable to extremely hot, almost burning me. After a minute it would go back to comfortable then to extremely hot after about 5 minutes. Just happened to both nights when I used the shower.

I appreciate that it overlooked a field and that it was quiet at times; furthermore, I find the price reasonable and the deposit to be super low. At 1 o’clock in the morning, I encountered a disturbance caused by another consumer whose television was excessively loud, followed by an argument in the parking lot; however, the gentleman at the front desk promptly addressed the situation.

While I prefer to maintain a positive perspective, I must acknowledge that reviews are essential for improving procedures and the overall structure of a property; thus, I will outline my concerns: Upon arrival, I noticed the absence of a place to hang my dress and store my luggage, a hole in the shower wall, multiple cigarette stains on the bathtub in a room that was advertised as smoke-free, a sink that was not draining properly, a showerhead positioned too low, a soiled chair that required cleaning, and a large bug, approximately two inches in length, that necessitated the attention of an exterminator; additionally, the dip pan under the freezer and refrigerator was filled with water, causing a leak inside the refrigerator, and when I inquired at the front desk about the availability of an iron—which was missing from my room—the staff member's immediate request for my room number was puzzling, especially when she informed me that there was no iron on the property.

It was inexpensive, and close to where I needed to be. It's not "The Ritz", but it was clean and comfortable.

The room smells terrible the key didn’t work the wife of the owner tried to invade our privacy while she was pacing in the parking lot literally looking in our van through the window ended up leaving and getting a better room at the casino

Had to pay for ice,no iron or ironing board in room are anywhere to hang your clothes

It was quiet and close to town.

The mattresses are hard as a rock. Woke up with back pain both mornings.
