Waterbird Lakeside Inn

Our room was spacious and clean. The room had a small, private deck that overlooked a lake with lots of birds swimming and flying around. We could also watch the lake birds from the bed or couch. Ths staff was also very friendly and helpful.

We liked everything about the hotel.

Yes the balcony had 100 of spiders so I couldn’t sit out on it. The room cleanliness wasn’t good at all

1st assigned room not prepared. Told desk person and assigned another room. Went to room and the bed was made with sheets and a comforter with Pee stains and blood stains on them, including the mattress cover. We asked for refund, said no.

Location.

Room was not clean. Used bedding. Makeup on pillow, hair & food in bed. Stains on bed pad & on couch & wall. Light bulb missing to lamp. Bathroom & vanity had makeup and hair. Dust & black build-up all over especially in bathroom. Very dirty room.

It was a little older hotel, but clean and comfortable. The view off the balcony was wonderful.

The room was clean. The staff was pleasant. There was a nice balcony overlooking Chubb lake outside our room. We were within walking distance of several eating establishments. The downtown area was charming, with older buildings. Would recommend.

The room and lobby were beautifully decorated and accented by the lake view.

They did not offer breakfast but there were options close by.

The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The view was spectacular.

The bathroom needed some maintenance and updating. Baseboards were chipping and falling off in a few places, flooring needed some attention, backsplash/bathroom counters needed some attention.

-Location. -Keys/locks/ AC work adequately. Nice lake view (except glass door condensation blocks it). Staff was pleasant enough.

The view

Our room appeared dirty when we first got there. I started to wipe down surfaces, and it was fairly clean. The whirlpool tub was exceptionally clean, even before cleaning it myself. The room just wasn't finished, remodeled and finishing touches not done.

The room was extremely spacious and the patio overlooking the lake was great!

The staff was quick to bring extra towels but otherwise were unseen. No one to greet you at check in or check out, you had to pick up the old phone in the hallway to request assistance. No booklet in room to tell about places to eat or shop locally.

The room was large.

Beds were on the small side. We booked this hotel because of the private balcony but this was unusable after dark. No lights and spider infested.

Room with a hot tub was great! Bed comfortable. Room clean. Hotel and room was dated.. definitely needs updating but it served its purpose. We had a great time hiking. Food places close by .. good weekend

Love visiting the Waterbird! The rooms are reasonably priced, always clean and have great views of the lake.

Stayed many times. Rooms were always clean and very close to many restaurants and train station.

We loved the spaciousness of the room, the comfy bed, and wonderful lakeview. Hotel was close to the events we were in town for.

Would have liked if it had a pool or a free breakfast like many hotels have, or 24-hour coffee in the lobby. The sliding screen door to the balcony was a bit broken and off the track. It was useable but just not as good as it should be.

I did not get laid in this hotel because the front desk staff gave my ex girlfriend a key to our room and she wasn't even staying there.

It's very outdated, dusty and musky.
