Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Downers Grove Chicago

This is my go to hotel when I just want to relax. I’ve never had any issues until the last visit. I was checked into a dirty room and when I was finally given a clean room the towels were dingy and there was no blanket in the closet

Room layout was good. Patio door opens which is nice for fresh breeze. Complimentary breakfast had a decent selection and was fresh.

Confusion around check-in. Front desk was an absolute failure. No priority to make it easier for the customer, just repeated "that's not our policy and we can't". Lots of issues with their technology during check in. Took forever. Mold in AC vents.

Apparently this hotel doesn't have the air on during the winter. I was on the highest floor during a warm winter day and the original room I had was 82. Way too humid for my liking. Thankfully they switched me to a cooler room but still no air?

Staff was not as friendly as could be and they were under going construction so neatness needed improvement

It was under construction and the rooms were outdated. The bathroom ceiling tile was almost falling down.

Housekeeping opened my room door twice before my checkout time. It was very uncomfortable

Bed was comfortable, room was spacious, everything was clean, and we were happy with our service.

The hotel was extremely difficult to find. Drove by the area for over 30 minutes before we had to call the hotel for directions.

Being suites is nicer than just a room. Nice layout.

A little dated. Furnace is loud and annoying. They now charge for parking with a tag on your car mirror. I travel on a budget and they are already very expensive so these charges do affect the tips I pay at check in and in room. Too bad.

Awful room. The heater made a loud boom every time it went on. Door to the bathroom was stuck in the wall. The handle to pull out was broken. They charged my card even though it was prepaid. Wouldn't recommend anyone stay here.

We enjoyed the clean and spacious room, amenities, and friendly staff.

The TVs were small and awkwardly placed in the rooms.

Checking in and out there were no luggage carts. Had to search for one on the floors for check in. Gave up on check out!4 trips from 6 th floor to car!!!

The dirty carpet smell in the rooms and hallways. I also found trash under the sofa bed when I let it out.

Very nice personnel. Great room - love the suite.

Would have loved a bigger bar.
