    Pros +

    • Price was really right.
    • Clean, quiet, comfortable bed and good TV.
    • Hotel employee was fantastic she helped me with my last minute stay questions & was very pleasant. Bed was comfortable.

    Cons -

    • The hotel and room had bad smell. Close to trail road tracks and was woken by train several times. Air conditioner was dripping into an ice bucket which was probably part of the smell; they obviously knew they had a leak.
    • The room had ripped curtains, nasty tub with a make shift rail in it, the furniture was scratched all up, the linens had cigarette burns in them and so forth, and the window unit a/c wasn't capable of cooling the room.
    • The 'breakfast' was very scarce, not what was expected for that level of hotel.

It's location, close to the highway. We were tired and it was convenient.

The 'breakfast' was very scarce, not what was expected for that level of hotel.

    4LoriPosted on: 6-25-2018

    The bed was comfortable

It was non-smoking room and probably at one time was a smoking room as you could smell it upon opening the room door There was no mention that you could hear the train; however they did supply two sets of earplugs by the soap.

The staff woman that checked me into the hotel was very nice and helpful.

Hotel is NOT a 2 star, it is 1 star at best. Hotel smells musty, my room was clean enough except for bathroom had brown moist smears on the toilet. Breakfast was awful, the apple juice was 90% water. Hotel supplies ear plugs in the room because of trains.

The hotel was conveniently located off the highway....it was easy to find

The staff were not friendly....I scheduled for two adults and two children and they questioned that....the continental breakfast didn't have any hot water for hot chocolate, I asked for some and he said use the microwave....styrofoam can't go in the micro

Front office staff helped me park my box truck in a snow storm

We were in the area for the Eclipse of 2017. It was the only lodging available for 100 miles around. We knew what we were gonna get. It was bare bones accommodations but you have to take what you can get. Wouldn't stay here again if I had a choice.

I'm going to be charitable and say no.

    Close to Casino and I-35

The main air conditioner in the lobby was broken. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke. The toilet appeared to be broken as it "moved" when you sat on it--shabby, worn and needing a facelift!!

    7RonaldPosted on: 6-26-2017

The staff was friendly and the room was clean, no noise, except for the trains.

Every thing about this place is very old, the furnishings and decorations are from out of the past. We are easy to satisfy when it comes to breakfast, but that breakfast was very bleak, for the price we paid we will not go back. the wi-fi was also weak.

    5Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 4-5-2017

Clean and staff friendly. Didnt know we were next to a train tracks and that was a little bit of a surprise.

Lack of parking for those with trailers but staff was very helpful.

    Lovation worked well for me

Free breakfast was not good. Very few selections and room very dark

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 7-19-2016

Good price. Everything is clean but well-worn.

Breakfast is bare bones (bagels, toast, oatmeal, beverages).

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 7-13-2016

The rooms are nice size as well as the beds. Temp in room was a bit chilly but easy to fix. Glad to have a place to sleep.

I would have to say the train whistle was more than I expected. This would likely be an issue with the other motels in the town as they seem to be in same area. Breakfast was very basic. One brand cold cereal and one brand instant hot. I went elsewhere.

    7Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 6-7-2016

    Clean room and comfy beds.

    Train horns throughout the night.

    6LynnPosted on: 4-6-2016

    Convenient

Advertised breakfast and more. That was a complete falsehood. There was minimal food at all and to get anything replenished, you had to "ring the desk bell".

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 1-19-2016

The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very helpful.

I would like fridges in the rooms.

    5Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 12-28-2015

    Room was clean, comfortable bed.

One of the reasons i choose a hotel is if it has free breakfast. Breakfast was not very good, just cereal with very little choice and toast. Coffee was ok.
