Pros +
- It was close to town and right off the river.
- How close to town but farther away so your can have some peace..
- The bad outweighed the good by a landslide.
Cons -
- I use the word "Dump" because I can't think of a better word. The entire building smelled musty and moldy. The beds were old and had dips in the middle. The tub caulking was pulling off the wall. The outside had mold up the walls but mostly the smell
- The water slide wasn?t working
- AC would not cool below 82. Rooms were dirty, dated, broken blinds, doors would not close. The site sent an email the day before our arrival stating the pools were closed, and there was no compensation. The pools were the reason we chose this location.

Location. It was walking distance to town and the river, yet privately tucked away in the woods.
Wifi not good. Needs updating. Slide and pond amenities out of order (not kept up).
Location
No amenities that were advertised. No TV service , no indoor pool, slow internet,DVD player in room with no DVDs
Location.
Was a little outdated
Great location, very affordable
So spacious and wonderful amenities!!
The staff was very friendly and the room and view were beautiful
The bathtub didn't get hot very long not enough to take a bath and the hot tub was down for repairs these were the main reasons we booked
Super close to downtown Helen. Comfortable to stay. The chalet was simple but had what you needed. Great value.
The kitchen could use a few more things. Maybe a crockpot. The mattress upstairs sags badly in the middle. The beds could use new pillows.
Area was very nice. Weather was not cooperative but the snow made for beautiful photos at the resort. We didn’t have any issues with resort roads because we had a 4wd truck. However, we met a family that had to walk up the hill with two small children (in below freezing temps) because the roads were too slick. (If that could be addressed in the future, that would be great). My family group went up for needed relaxation and I personally was looking forward to the whirlpool tub. Unfortunately, it did not work and the faucet itself was very loose and detaching from the wall. I called the front office and left a message with my number but have yet to get a response. Also, the heat worked intermittently. We went to the local store and bought fire logs for the fireplace. Those are the major complaints of the chalet. The pool and sauna were closed so I cannot give a review. That was something I would have liked to have known about before my arrival. Especially to a resort advertising this type of relaxation that we were all looking forward to. Positive encounter checking in but was not able to contact anyone after that. The kitchen was well equipped and beds were comfortable. Carpet could use cleaning but wasn’t terrible. The chalet itself was pretty but we all felt cheated of the relaxation we came for. No pool, no sauna and no working jetted tub in our chalet. Would we stay at the property again? Maybe, but not in that chalet and not for the price we paid.
Biggest complaint-whirlpool tub didn’t work. No contact with property management via phone after message left.
The room was spacious
I booked this place because they advertised a heated pool and large hot tub they didn't tell you it was too far to walk to the clubhouse to enjoy the pool and hot tub so when I drove down there it was a very long walk up a ramp to find the heated pool full of algae and completely green with a beautiful hot tub decided clear blue freezing water so clearly I could not enjoy either one even though I had to drive down to it. Also it was very hard to open the front door going in had to almost kick it open every time and the two sliding glass doors going out to the balcony was a serious chore to get open also the Jacuzzi bathtub would have been really nice had the water had stayed hot long enough to fill it up. Then they ask you to take your trash down to the dumpster when you leave and when I took my trash down there was not a convenient garbage can to put it in I believe they need to put garbage cans outside of each building. Also they advertised a view of the river definitely could not see the River from my room and I would have had to have drove down to see the river. They also advertise fireplace in the room but they don't tell you you can only burn the fire logs in it they do not want you putting real wood in it so keep that in mind guys and try not to get Frozen in up there because it's very high up very steep driveways.
The Staff Were Amazing From Check In with Annette To Phil Checking on us constantly during the ice storm and Keeping us logs Rosie was amazing helping someone in our crew with their car in FREEZING weather Condo in town beautiful scenery Clean Could use some updating The Sauna on am icy night was Amazing ? I recommend
The hills driving in and out
Everything we needed was there. We felt like we were home and the kids had a blast. The view off the balconies was breathtaking. Definitely be back again.
It was really no big deal. The stove had a burner out and you had to play with the knobs to get the oven to work but, we figured it out. The pull out couch was old and the springs were bad but, the kids slept on the couch and it was comfy for them. No complaints! This is an older condo but, it was very nice. We loved it!
It was very affordable and cozy
Guests need to know that the actual accommodations are up a very steep narrow at times hill that can potentially freeze in the winter. Had it frozen we would've been stuck. The photos advertised dont particularly reflect such as one of them is just the main office at the bottom of the hill. Another guest actually left upon finding this out during our stay. Other than that it was ok aside from black mold in the tub jets.
The indoor pool and hot tub was good. That’s about it.
The main problem was the lack of cleanliness. We truly wish we picked a regular cheap hotel over this. This was our first vacation in about 6 years and this was just a little two night trip not far from where we live. I thought it was too good to be true and I was right. It felt like we stayed in an old abandoned house that hadn’t been stepped in for years. The walk up the (very old and rickety) stairs to the loft was covered in huge spiders and we had to duck around the spider webs we could barely see bc there were no lights. Once in the room, it looked like it had been cleaned a long time ago, we didn’t dare touch a towel and took all bed covers off and used what we (thankfully!) brought just in case. The washing machine (that is “available to guests”) we didn’t go near because it was in the rickety spider filled unlit hallway with the stairs like something out of a horror movie. The furniture was all dusty and VERY old, literally felt like sitting on springs even after moving the cushions around. We pulled the couch away from the wall to be closer to the tv, only to uncover all the dead bugs that were under the couch. Besides the dirtiness, the drive up the hill to the buildings was INSANELY steep, our little car almost didn’t make it up at the very top because there is a very sharp turn on a narrow one lane road with a drop off to one side and the building to the other. It was horrifying. Then we tried to go down the other side to leave, and it was so steep you couldn’t see the road in front of you, and it’s also in a curve with a drop off to the side. I left a bag in the room and we didn’t want to try to get the car up that hill again with the kids in it, so I walked while they waited at the bottom and it was so steep I could almost crawl up it. Idk how that’s a legal drive, but I suppose it is private property. Other than that the pool was fine, the kids had fun in it and the hot tub, view wasn’t bad if you like trees and mountains.
Rooms were clean and staff was freindly. Pool was great.
Rooms were a littlele dated. Stove didn't function as expected. Steep incline to entrance was difficulty.
We loved everything, place, price, staff and the area was beautiful. Everything within walking distance from this resort!!! Can't wait to come again.
Didnt like??? There's no way you could find anything you didn't like !!!
The alpine look was amazing.
The resort is very run down, could use a whole face lift. Spider webs in stairways and on balconies, AC was not blowing cold upstairs in loft part of room.
Clean amd comfortable place with a nice view of the town. The location is excellent , everything is close and easily walkable.
One downside was the tv in my room. It was quite old and could use an update.
