Excellent setting. The Hook (FOOD), is a quick walk, dolphins and manatee right there. Sunset Grill is easy walking and great sunsets. Great workout area too btw.
We enjoyed our stay, the room was clean, not a full kitchen but there's a portable electric stove and microwave. Love the view of the river across our room and the flowers and trees are beautiful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, not crowded and clean.

Cons -

Needs a little updating but for the price, this was fine. Has a refrig, little stove top...freezer, dishwasher...walk in shower.
The main gulf beaches like Clearwater and Anna maria island beaches and other main attractions were 40 minutes to an hour drive. We love Manatee beach which was 40 minute drive.
