Copper Beech Inn

It is quaint and a quintessential New England inn! The guest room was roomy, and the bathroom was large and modern.

Great dinner and breakfast! They were very accommodating and the inn was very clean!

Nothing at all!

Nothing. No heat or thermostat in room. It was located in another room where we had no access and was off.

Freezing temperatures and cold. When we complained that there was no heat in the room and it was not clean the next morning nothing had been done when we got back to the hotel in the evening. The room was also not cleaned. There was a gas fire but it had to be turned off at night and when we left the room. There was no other heat source as the thermostat was in another room with no access and turned off. We complained to the management who were unpleasant and rude. They tried to pretend the heat was on trying to gaslight us. It turned out it was even off in the other room where the termostat was located. Perversely they offered us that room. They offered us another room which was small and substandard without the facilities we asked for. We left the hotel early and would never return.

Our room in a new building was quite nice. The included breakfast was very good.

The main building is “tired”. It needs a lot of maintenance. The grounds and landscaping were terrible. Absolutely not worth the rather high prices

The place is in need of some repairs The bed and breakfast menu changed, and it's not the bestThe room was not vacuumed properly, the edges alomg the wall was mot vacuumed. The wall and bathroom door had old food splattered on itThey gave us space heaters because the slim system did not work Was not worth the money we paid. The jacuzzi didn't work either Room 301

Good location. Spacious room. The inn interior and exterior is need of care/maintenance, as things are tired overall. Breakfast was included ($20 worth which was enough to cover a meal and a hot or cold drink) but the options were very limited and everything was quite heavy/oily and not well cooked. Some lighter options would be good and cooking could be improved.

We were happy with our 3 night stay at the Copper Beach but the facilities are due for some maintenance and repair.The main Inn needs to be painted and some wood rot was visible. Loose floor tiles in the restaurant, loose door knobs, cracked sink, stained carpets were some things we noticed. Our first room had a heating issue and the remote control did not work due to dead/corroded batteries. The staff was attentive and addressed the problem right away but we had to change rooms anyway. Second room was very nice and we were fine with the outcome. The breakfast was good and the choices adequate. This property could easily get a 9/10 rating with a bit of attention to detail.

I just find it hard to accept "obvious issues" when rooms are serviced daily and things don't get corrected before a complaint. Simple things like the loose door knobs can be addressed in less that 5 minutes but they don't get done. That bothers me. Sorry but I'm an inspector by trade. On a funny note the menus said 3 slices of French Toast but you only actually got 2. That's more of an observation than a complaint but if I had come in off the street and paid $15 for 3 slices I would expect 3 slices.

Magnificent hotel in a lovely environment, although being close to a road, there is little traffic and therefore calm. The staff is very welcoming and warm.We ate there, refined cuisine, with an astonishing French-inspired menu, but adapted to American tastes, the chef is French.Breakfast was also excellent.

The building was beautiful and very well equipped. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

The drive up to our accommodation was a little bumpy

Breakfast was great. Loved the gardens and the ambience within the building.

The character and decor, a good looking large comfortable room. Pleasant staff. Breakfast choice was a limited but great food.

I liked the restaurant and the bar they had inside the main building

All of the buildings were outdated and could use some updating . The facility looked much nicer in oixtures on the website . My room also smelt very mildewy

The property was beautifully landscaped and the 3 buildings were richly decorated. The room was spacious, loved the comfortable bed, amazing bathroom, and great deck to sit and look at nature. The breakfast was delicious and the setting or the restaurant was lovely. It was easy to find and a convenient drive to towns nearby.

Ice was a little far from the room , hard to find

Well presented then we had dinner also more selections could have been offered for breakfast like fruits cereals oatmeal it's just a suggestion.

The rooms were large and well appointed. The decor was nice and the bedding was very comfortable

Poor customer service & misleading amenities

Two of the staff members were engaging in a very inappropriate verbal argument in the hotel lobby area. The male employee was yelling and using profanity towards the female employee; Made us feel extremely uncomfortable.Additionally, we booked a room with a Jacuzzi tub, however it appears that they uninstalled the tub some time ago and never updated their room amenities. We were quite disappointed to discover that it was missing, and nothing was done to make up for this fact.I've tried contacting the inn, as well as Booking.com customer support has attempted to contact them numerous times, but the inn has so far refused to respond.

Location.

We did not get the room we booked and paid for. We booked a King, tub, refrigerator and big screen TV. They had removed the tub but not updated the info online. We got a Queen, tiny TV and no refrigerator. The Inn needs painting and upkeep. Breakfast was tasteless and subpar.

outdoor lacked comfortable places to sit/relax (the few chairs were soaked even though it hadn’t rained), the breakfast was only fair and very limited

We ate at the restaurant and had very friendly waiter and a delicious dinner. No-one was there at the early hour we dined at and we had a nice table by the window. The Inn is near several other towns and we had tickets to the show playing at the Goodspeed Opera House. A short drive to the theater.Also, we were pleased that our room was ready before 3, so we we were able to check in early.

It was a very warm day and when we came back from lunch our room was very hot,, despite the portable air conditioner. I discovered that the connection to the window was undone. I tried to insert the plastic tubing into the window , but it quickly became undone, Went down to the main desk and a fellow was sent up. He also pushed the hose in but after a short while we noticed that it had fallen out again. Went down again and was offered another room in a back building. Apparently, they have problems with the air in the older building, but all that was needed was some strong tape to keep the hose attached. Coralina met us at the back building, which had better air conditioning and was fine. However, we lost about an hour or so getting this issue resolved. Can't stress how nice Coraline was and helped us move our stuff into our new room (311). Apparently the person who takes care of maintenance was not in that day.
