    Pros +

    • The friendliness of the staff.
    • Way cool historic hotel, it¿s great to see old buildings still in use. Great location, close to the train station with connections to either the airport, which I used, or Amtrak, which I¿ve used in the past. Will definitely return.
    • Staff and location and $53 daily charge for valet

    Cons -

    • Room wasn’t cleaned on our last night. Dirty towels were left on the floor, garbages not emptied.
    • No restaurant in house for breakfast or lunch, but really good continental breakfast is provided free, so fair trade there. There are a multitude of lunch restaurants close by, so also a good trade.

    Staff,location, cleanliness a definite 5 star experience.

Location was great for Downtown/Union Station. Staff was courteous and helpful.

    8DavidPosted on: 5-23-2017

Charming room and gracious staff, especially their extra efforts to find an available room early and to upgrade us.

    Restaurant construction was disappointing.

Location was great. Staff in the hotel was outstanding. The only minor problem and it wasn't much of one was the hotel bar. It didn't match the quality in staffing of the hotel but I would definitely return to this hotel.

I enjoyed staying here but have one significant complaint. Staff would knock on door and immediately enter room without me giving a chance to respond. One time, the maid acted surprised but it felt intentional and creepy. I mean who would do that?

Pushy staff. Don't explain the amenities they offer until you check out. Ouch!

The charm of the hotel (and beautiful holiday decorations) were outdone only by the great location. Adjacent to Union Station and steps from the best bars and restaurants of LoDo, we found it easy to cover the good stuff in the short time we had.

We requested an early check-in via phone twice and had confirmation that we'd receive one. Unfortunately, we only got in about 20 minutes prior to our original time. The place totally made up for it, after, though!

The location is perfect for so many downtown restaurants, the trains, and the Coors field. Wow. Real keys for the rooms. Great bar....loved the Art Deco

Great old school hotel that still users keys held behind the front desk. Awesome prohibition era bar attached to it as well. All around a cool place to stay, the oldest hotel in Denver

The staff was so friendly and helpful! It was so nice to sit by the fire in the lobby then be driven in the complimentary escalade to dinner.

The McCormicks restaurant did not have very good service and the food for the price was not very great.

    9JeffreyPosted on: 6-18-2015

Helpful bellboys at door to outside. Also, liked the health club next door.

Having to turn the key in each time I left, and picking it up each time I returned.

    The hotel location was great!

The hotel was a little darker than I expected. But, it is a historic hotel.

    Location

Management is incompetent. Especially night manager. Has no handle on how to operate or function. Incompetent at every level. There are far better hotels that really work to earn your business. After many times staying here I will not be back.

    10AndrewPosted on: 1-24-2017

all the staff was great! the location was perfect to catch the train to Glenwood.

I would not change a thing, please keep it the way it is

Everything about the Hotel Oxford was exemplary. From the staff to the room to the beds to the tiniest of details. My stay could not have been better, with the exception of being able to stay longer. I will be back for another stay.

This was a wonderful hotel. The staff was amazing. We couldn't be happier with our decision to stay at The Oxford. It had modern conveniences and old world charm. We would definitely stay there again!

They charged me more than double for a room that had already been paid for. I booked with booking.com and per paid and the still charged me another $362.00. So I paid over $600.00 for a room that was $300. Bad business
