Pros +
- The lobby and shared kitchen
- Staff was really nice and informative. The building and (Rose) were very clean as well as the shared bathrooms.
- We loved the vintage feel of an old location but it was clean and updated at the same time.
Cons -
- Lobby doors lock at a certain hour.
- Pretty close to downtown so parking is a nightmare. The only availability for private rooms is either a full size bed or king and the the full was a little too small and the king was a little too expensive.
- There is a population of unhoused folks in the nearby area which is a detractor, but not so much that we wouldn’t happily return to the property.

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a private room but still used the amenities and found them great.
The location was outside main downtown but honestly, it was perfect walking distance from the Denver Art Museum and Civic Center so still very convenient for the most part.
Convenient location and very cute environment. We loved the coffee in the lobby and the ease of access. The rooms were quaint and comfortable.
I love the staff, the location, and the cleanliness of the hotel.
There is nothing to not like! Love this hostel!
Friendly and caring staff - Quick elevator up to the room with my bag, then started taking the nice wide staircase down when leaving the hotel. GREAT STAIRS! The shared community kitchen was great too. I didn't realize that there were several coffee makers /pots, that I could've brought my own coffee in to use, so instead I paid $2 each morning for their 'coffee vending machine' which was 'ok'. Otherwise the public rooms were all nice and clean, just like the shared bathrooms, which all seemed to be 'single bathrooms' along the hallways that showed as being 'in use' or 'vacant' which you'd just have to run across the hall to use, if you didn't opt for an en-suite room like the one that I stayed in.
The only things that would've made the stay/en-suite room PERFECT would've been a personal coffee maker with a few coffee/tea services, an additional shelf or something in the bathroom, so that your grooming stuff wouldn't accidentally fall off into the bathroom sink, or if you were using the toilet back to store items, then into the toilet accidentally. My bathroom travel storage bag has a hook on it, so even an extra hook in the bathroom would've been welcome, so I could've hung my bathroom stuff on that. Lastly, I had a prescription that needed refrigeration, but the type of room that I was assigned to, couldn't accommodate a mini-fridge, even if I was willing to pay a little more to rent one, so I made due with a portable home cooler of my own. The nice front desk person also suggested that I could put the medication in a bag with my name on it and date of check out, and store it in the Large Shared Commercial Kitchen Fridge, which would've worked out fine too, I think. I also wished that I could've gotten ice somewhere. I ended up asking the ice cream shop that is located on-site, for a zip-lock bag of ice, which was 'crushed', but hey, it worked in a pinch and I tipped them $1 for it.
Excellent price for its location.
I found it weird that they had the sink inside the rooms and not in the bathroom. You either put a bathroom in each room or place the sink in the shared bathroom outside. We also didn't have handsoap for the sink and I went to buy one, and the room was very cold and we couldn't change the temperature from inside.
That they accepted my poster from the Golden Triangle Artist in Residence. They are friendly and responsive. Cleaning crew cool too.
Noise near kitchen room. Elevator down hall. However convenient so it's a wash.
I liked that it was near enough to downtown Denver.
Other guests leaving the communa bathrooms/showers a mess. That the temp in our room (and all others probably) is set at 65° F and if you want to change it you have to go to the front desk and ask. As well if you're going to keep the room so cold , at least provide 1 thicker blanket.
I appreciate it that they had private ensure option which included a private bathroom. The room was very clean and the amenities around the floor was great and well maintained. The staff were amazing and the check in at 2pm was also appreciated.
Nothing really the vending machines only took dollars and they would only give me 5 ones and so it was get a drink or get a snack couldn’t get both, went outside for some air and there was literally a shooting 50 ft away from me I had to duck and cover. The staff was awesome for the most part. Over all I would say meh though
Vending machines taking fives and ones. And the cost of the coffee shop right in the lobby was expensive. And maybe find a better location.
Nice spacious, good bathrooms, good location
Still quite expensive for what you get.
Good location centrally located and easily accessible with public transportation. Staff was helpful but not really attentive (I had to greet the front desk after standing in front for a minute while the front desk guy was on his phone. He apologized and was helpful but I had to ask him key questions like “do you have lockers and where are the bathrooms?” Because he just handed me a keycard with little to no explanation) Cleaning staff do a great job!!!!
Firstly on the websites what to know page there is no mention of bringing/needing a lock or shower slippers. I feel that is pretty important information that was not provided. Kinda a scam to purchase locks (should be a deposit based system) especially when information was not specified. The hostel has thin walls (which is understandable for the price) so you could hear outside music/yelling/and others snoring in rooms down the hall (again pretty understandable for the price). also there the ac or fan is pretty loud despite the ac barely being on. i didnt mind the temp and only slept with a sheet instead of a blanket but i understand how this is a potential major issue especially in summer. The bunk beds are horrendous. Absolutely no place to store anything on the top bunk without fear of it falling through and hitting the bottom bunk. The bunks are so fragile they shake when climbing to the top bunk (I weigh 130lbs) and you basically feel any movement your bunk mate makes. Honestly surprised someone hasnt tipped one over and sued because they are not secured to the ground properly. the hostel is near public housing so there are a lot of oddities at night and it seems like a shady area specifically at night. my biggest issue is people snoring. the hostel provides earplugs but its not really enough especially if your bunkmate sounds like a motorcycle at 3am (this was my case). thankfully i was able to switch rooms. ultimately i think its a good place to shower and reset but dont expect to get a full nights sleep. im the type of person that sleeps through noises and sleep a full 8+ hours. i probably got about 6 hours sleep and woke up off and on the whole night which never happens for me. a place like this should honestly be worth 20-30$ a night not 50$ and up.
Otherwise it was a nice place
The TV didn’t work. Desk said they were sending someone to fix it. Person never arrived
Fantastic! Staff was courteous, our room was clean, the bed was comfortable. We had an awesome stay
This was a great place to stay! We'd definitely stay again!
Location was great, there was an ice shop and pizza spot located in the lobby. If you forgot something there was a convenience store 10 steps away. The staff was always friendly and helpful.
A couple tv apps would have been nice
So much!! See above ;) But especially pleasantly surprised to see the oracle cards left in the library. It was my first stay at a hostel so I was quite nervous but was 100% satisfied!
I didn't appreciate having to pay extra for a lock on my locker in the room, and the door clicked extremely loudly when closing.
Nothing. Lied about the privacy lied about bathrooms lied about beds. I instantly checked out and was supposed to receive a refund.
Everything. It was a complete lie. No bathrooms. No privacy. No amenities. Small bed. No lighting. AC BROKEN!!! NEED FULL REFUND
Second time rating so I’ll put the things I didn’t put in the first one. You get a discount on the pizza place nearby and the cafe that’s in the hostel on the main floor. Laundry is $3.50 in total for wash & dry. Which is fine if you only have one load. The staff is so friendly and kind, especially the overnight staff. I can’t remember his name but this young man helped my friend and I out with no complaints when we came back (hella intoxicated) and wanted to eat downstairs after hours. If I remember his name, I’ll edit this. He was the GOAT.
Again, no complaints. Maybe some helpful tips for others: Each person in your party needs their ID. Make sure you’re putting the right amount of people in list or else you get charged $20/person per night.Call if you want to check in early! I got to check in like 4 hours early which was amazing.Third floor is all private bathrooms from my understanding, but the bathrooms on second and third floor are all super nice and clean. I really have no complaints about this place. I can’t wait to stay here again :)
