    Pros +

    • This historic hotel has lots of charm. Very clean and comfortable. Loved soaking in the claw foot tub.
    • Awesome location next to dining and shopping. The light continental breakfast and happy hour were added treat.
    • Best location

    Cons -

    • 1. Too small room size 2. Poor bathroom
    • We knew about lack of elevator in advance but negotiating stairs with bags was a trial. Poor noise insulation from 3rd floor room above and adjoining rooms. A small refrigerator would be a great upgrade.
    • They need to get a handle on their hot water. I was told it took a while to heat up, but my showers were lukewarm start to finish, with the occasional gush of hot water. When I pay as much as I did for this room, I expect a hot shower.

The hotel was perfectly located near everything we planned to do while on Sonoma. Although older the hotel was quaint and had character.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location excellent on plaza. Excellent coffee and rolls for continental breakfast.

Historic character, great walkable location, and friendly staff.

This is an older cozy hotel in the city making it a convenient walking distance for restaurants and wine tasting rooms. Staff was very pleasant. Free breakfast and wine sampling in the afternoon.

It was fairly quiet but the walls are thin so voices and creaks in the old wood floor were easily heard. Parking is only available on the streets and there is no elevator so pack light.

It was very cute, unique old historical building. Near the plaza do everything we did was walking distance.

No elevator can make it challenging. We didn’t have an issue.

Great hotel with lots of character and charm. Lovley big rooms with a comfortable bed and clean linen. The attached restaurant "The Girl and the Fig" had an excellent menu, catering for all dietary requirements.

There is no lift on the property, so suitcases have to be carried up a flight of stairs. No on-site parking, but plenty in the streets surrounding the hotel.

Great location on the square. Girl in the Fig on the ground floor is a good bar/restaurant.

    Bathrooms were very dated.

decor delightful! Bed very comfortable and room quiet.

Key to open door was tricky. Step to portico missing and scarey, looking like an accident waiting to happen, and not lit at night.

My fiancé stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay! From the staff to the room and hotel itself! So much charm and character! We had a lovely dinner at the girl and fig which is connected!

We were on the second floor so we heard the people staying above us throughout the stay. But quiet otherwise

    Clean, location, kind staff

Very loud generator or HVAC outside my window

Would have loved coffee and fridge in room

Disappointed with owner's response to "NO TV" the entire time we were there.

Paid for a Superior Queen Room with separate sitting room (where the TV was).TV did not work; reception could not fix it. No TV the entire stay. When I brought up to the owner, He offered first a $25 credit; then a $30 credit.Expected at least $50 since the room charge was $262 total. Will never stay there again or recommend it to others.

Excellent location! Very nice susah, clean, comfortable rooms.

Loved the history and view from our hotel window. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming and thoughtfully let us keep our cheeses in her staff fridge. It was wonderful to have dinner just underneath where we were staying as well as visit the Tuesday night market across the street!

The length of our bed. It was a little too small for us both. Everything else about our room was great though!

    6JamesPosted on: 6-14-2024

Location right in the plaza. The Girl & the Fig Restaurant is downstairs. Rooms aren't fancy. No special amenities to speak of. The pricing is excellent.

    Updating.

Location was amazing! The restaurant on site was delicious

Breakfast could of been better and on the second day of our visit there was no breakfast available.
