It was the cheapest in town

The 'couple' upstairs was moving furniture around most of the night and during their breaks I could clearly make out every word of their conversation. And there was some sort of car show/beer tasting convention in the parking lot outside my door from 2-4 am

My recent stay at this motel exceeded expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, the manager demonstrated a level of professionalism, kindness, and genuine hospitality that is rare to find. She was consistently respectful, warm, and welcoming, and she went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible.There were a few challenges I faced during my visit that had nothing to do with the motel itself, yet the manager still stepped in with understanding and support. Her willingness to help, even beyond her responsibilities, made a significant difference and truly speaks to her character and dedication to guest satisfaction.The rooms were exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Every staff member I encountered was polite, responsive, and courteous. Any time I requested something, it was provided almost immediately—within seconds, if not minutes.Overall, this motel delivers outstanding service, exceptional care, and a genuinely welcoming environment. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay.

The room was reasonably clean

No shampoo, no nightstand light, no hair dryer, WiFi not working, and overall run down and neglected.

The management was very polite and helpful.

There' should be a coffeemaker in the room with accessories. There should be complimentary shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.

15 minutes left for check out and they knocked on my door asking for the key

Liked: I liked the Battles Neighborhood Market, the Mexican restaurant and barbershop across the street on McClelland Street. It's a nicer property than the crime-ridden motel across the street.

Disliked: the dangerous zone of the city that this business creates for us all. It's like a red zone area in the Netherlands, taboo happenings everywhere - only for adults 21 years of age and up There's schools nearby, for Pete's sake.

Liked: Room 117 being A.D.A. accessible. Plus it has a neat little kitchenette area in the back next to the bathroom.

One of the windows in the bathroom lacks privacy and they should fix that soon. Just offering some helpful and kind advice. Decent and pleasant stay overall.

I like(d) the business savvy of the new manager versus the Paleolithic policies of the old management. By the way, the old manager Paul remains part of the new management team -- which is a plus.

I disliked the price for me specifically and especially because I am a die-hard loyal lodger here in this area of South Broadway, Santa Maria. I'm always in good-standing with the business properties and they recognize that fact (sometimes but not always, unfortunately; I blame tourist and riff-raff slander and defamation of character).

They had no room when I arrived and still haven't received my refund the owner said yes to but won't reply to a email from booking.com

Nothing. Since room was prepaid, stayed in a room that was the "best" of the 3 rooms I was shown and stayed only 3 nights.

Rooms smelled of dust when heater turned on. My allergies flared as there were other odors in the room, not sure what they were

it was super clean and private room. but no fault of the hotel they were doing road outside the hotel on the main roadand the Mexican food Casa Manan next door was grade AAA some of the best i had in a long time.

TV service channels in the room was not the best.
