Garden Street Inn Downtown San Luis Obispo, A Kirkwood Collection Hotel

The staff was exceptionaly kind and helpful.

While the Queen bed was comfortable it was more like a full size bed. The tub/shower was difficult to get in and out of. Very high tiled sides to climb over. i would reccomend the King room.

Updated & clean room and facility, friendly staff, and walkable location were assets.

Parking and street noise were detractors.

Location was awesome! Rooms were quiet even though you had others in the house. Decor was beautiful. Rooms were clean.

The runners in the hallways were very dirty. Needs replaced, just gives a bad first impression. But the rooms were very clean!!! There was a back porch which would have been nice to have some seating on it, but there were no chairs.

Historical building--lots of character. Good location and price. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We missed having a small refrigerator and microwave in our room, but that was not a big deal.

The location was perfect for being able to walk around downtown. Cute and different. They had home fresh cooked breakfast everyday and good coffee. And water available to fill my water bottle all day.

although it¿s charming and historic, that also means it doesn¿t have some modern amenities. And it¿s great they are making breakfast everyday but the smell was very strong and kind of annoying having to smell it in our room at night and in the morning.

It could be noisey. Old house, can hear rowdy citizens from downtown at times, doors slam easily. Things the hotel can not control.

The staff was friendly. The guest room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with newer furniture and a comfortable bed. The hotel was located within convenient walking distance of shopping and restaurants in downtown Monterey.

Right I. Downtown, room was small but very well priced, great breakfast, staff and historic character .

NOT the hotels fault...but returning to my room around 11:30 PM ... a black thug on the street out side approached me and hassled me verbally. Very out of place for SLO... i had enough distance between myself and this predatory idiot to get to the steps

Quaint charming hotel that's really a B&B. Good size rooms, claw foot bathtub, great breakfast and friendly service. Couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely stay here again.

After making my reservation, I received a personal text from hotel employee with information making our arrival comfortable. Freshly baked cookies were there to great us and never have we received a warmer reception in all the years of hundreds of hotel stays.

Central location in SLO. We walked everywhere! The staff were all friendly and most helpful. The room was quaint and comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful.

Our room had a soaking tub which doubled as a shower. It was treacherous getting in and out of it.

Room make up was less than satisfactory. Bed not made up properly. Trash in bathroom not emptied. Water bottles not replenished.

The location is great, right downtown San Luis Obispo. You can walk to town in just a few minutes.

Parking was a difficult in a garage a few blocks away. The staff was friendly, but not very clear and did not go out of their way to offer any help.

Really charming old house. Rooms individually decorated. Really good breakfast. Location right downtown for walking eawse.

It was an exceptional experience, warm welcome, the very serious attention for Covid-19, all was beyond perfect. I will come back soon.
