Cons -
- The room was cramped with one chair. We also did not like the steps from the bathroom, as someone could miss a step and fall, especially at night. Parking is somewhat cramped. The internet did not work inside of the room but worked in the parking lot.
- No room service or Food after 9 pm.
- We were charged an $800 deposit after being told we would be charged a $100 deposit. When we asked front desk staff about car rentals in the area we were told to "google it". The jacuzzi bath was broken in our room and the room had an odd design in that the toilet was in a separate room with no sink. Breakfast was a joke, there were individual yoghurts but no spoons, no herbal tea, coffee sucked etc. We ended up getting breakfast in Point Reyes each morning as the Market next door was not much better, they may have the same management as the Inn.

Location was great, room had a balcony which was nice.

Super cute and clean, fantastic venue in back of hotel.
Probably could use a little AC on really hot days.

Chill vibe. Love the rooms with terrace.
They allow dogs… means some loud barking occasionally and the room is heavily perfumed to cover animal smell.
The property is extraordinary; the attention to detail in the decor throughout the place is exceptional. Every time we turned a corner we were amazed at the beauty. The outdoor space is quite special - plenty of seating areas, paths, fire pits, beautiful landscape, the creek, the patio. The room was spacious, comfortable and well organized. The staff upon arrival was super friendly and helpful. We arrived before check-in and left our luggage including birthday presents. Everything had been placed in our room before our arrival.
The only thing we didn't like was the wine and small bag of nuts offered as "complimentary". We saw the $35 destination fee on our bill that covered this. It didn't sync to the image of such an extraordinary five star establishment to include this kind of charge. Cover it in the room charge in the future. The online booking site mentioned a tub in the room; we didn't know to request it in our reservation and were too late to change rooms when we discovered our room didn't have it. We would have had to give up the beautiful patio in order to get a room with a tub. We appreciate that R. made us aware to request a room with a tub in the future.
Very pleasant hotel with excellent communal spaces inside and out. Free parking and fast check-in and check-out. Ate at the related restaurant next door which was fine and able to charge the meal to our room.
Room was fine but didn't appear to have A/C although we didn't need it. Sink in bathroom was up a couple of steps which was a bit odd. Not wild about the $30 destination fee which included a couple of extras like a "free" bottle of house wine - but we were actually paying for it!
It is very close to the main entrance of Point Reyes National Park
No breakfast on site. There were nice options in Point Reyes Station but it would be nice to have breakfast at the hotel before you leave for an early morning hike.
Great location. Friendly and helpful staffFantastic grounds. Clean and comfortable roomCharging station for my EV. Room was away from road and very quiet.
A little awareness of the dining situation. The choice in the next restaurant was bad for vegetarians. Restaurants in the town close early. Luckily station house cafe called us in without reservations. For such a wonderful property,, they could have created a breakfast experience outdoors second to none. They visit the mountain lodge in Nepal to know what I mean.
The large window towards the garden.
No bathtub, just a shower. Very disappointed. Room was clean but didn’t not reflect the ambiance shown in the pictures.
The location. Back yard is lovely.
Miss the breakfast treats. Would be nice if they offered pastries, yogurt, in the morning.
The room was very pleasant although it did not have a cupboard to hang clothing. We loved the gardens.
Breakfast was not included!breakfast was not included
Lovely location close to Point Reyes Beautiful and quiet roomGreat restaurant next door.
More expensive than most other locations
Extremely comfortable bed, beautiful room, gorgeous surroundings and grounds
I wish there was breakfast!
Beautiful And close to everything I wanted to do.. loved having the restaurant there for ease.
The toilet was broken and the tub was clogged :(
The greeting at the front desk by Kyle was excellent. Kyle was extremely professional while also being relaxed and fun. My wife and I really enjoyed the entire experience and will definitely be back!
The ice machine was broken and we had to visit the restaurant next door to request some ice. Not a big issue, and the restaurant staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed a good portion of the time that we were there. Definitely not a deal breaker, but we thought that alternative ice sources might have been a good idea.
The location was beautiful and the grounds and view from our window was lovely. We couldn't believe how quiet it was - we were thinking for an old building we would hear every noise. We heard NOTHING from our room. It was so peaceful and quiet. The restaurant next door was really nice and the bartender was great! Fantastic cocktails! (we only had a drink and oysters, which were excellent too, so I cannot comment on a full meal). The staff at the House were friendly and accommodating. Our bed was very comfy. It was so difficult to leave!
Our room was upstairs in the main House with outdoor access. The outdoor staircase was a bit steep and it got icy in the morning. A bit treacherous, but that's Mother Nature at work. Thankfully there was an interior staircase as well which was safer.
We were on our honeymoon and were made to feel very welcome. The bottle of wine was a nice touch too. We loved our bay window with view of the gorgeous gardens. Some deer came to graze on our first morning - a magical experience. The food at the restaurant was really good, and the staff were lovely. Joe was very sweet providing us with tips for our visit to the area.
We only stayed for two nights so wasn’t a big deal for us but for people staying longer not having a small closet to hang/store clothes could be a bit of a challenge. Also while the market cafe next door sold delicious muffins and a few other breakfast items, we would love to see their menu extended a bit on our next stay. Overall though we loved staying at Olema House and 100% recommend.
