    Cons -

    • We called the hotel at 4 pm, spoke to friendly staff, and said we'd arrive after midnight. Upon arrival, a sign instructed us to call after 9 pm for help. We called 4 times but got no answer, and waited in the rain for 20 minutes trying to reach someone.
    • I was just surprised they didn't have butter at breakfast. Not a huge deal! Also
    • On a noisy street especially in the early morning and evening. our room was immediately inside the front door and made loud noises each time it opened and closed. Furnishings and finishes were very tired. Continental breakfast was limited but quality ok.

The location was convenient to Lovers Point where I went to see a friend?s band play. Otherwise I wouldn?t have picked this extremely deficient property.

Only 5 parking spots thus street parking is required. No regular network television channels so limited entertainment options. The front desk is unstaffed from 9 pm-7 am so no assistance with noisy guests at 1:30 am. Expensive and awful on every level.

I needed a room at last minute. It was reasonable enough

Weekly I Frequent PG. I usually stay at Gosby,Seven Gables,Hotel 1110.and very happy with. But totally disappointed at this place. Rude front desk girl. No hello or Welcome.I told a mature woman as I checked out,she just said thanks Dirty tub, shower

    Location and back yard

The room was very small, and they gave us close to the entrance. There were more rooms but they didn¿t help us move when we requested them. Location was a saving grace, we were there only to nap and wind down.

Charming Victorian house with a modern bathroom..Staff were very warm and helpful. The breakfast was quite good.

The sofa bed was a stiff and lumpy futon. The furnishings/curtains were dated (not because there were Victorian pieces) and need a refresh.

Quaint facilities, responsive and nice staff, excellent breakfast.

The staff was wonderful. Proximity to eateries, the beach, is perfect. We have stayed at several Bnb's, but personally we enjoy staying in vacation homes more. The breakfast was delicious.

beautiful B/B with daily included breakfast, great central location to downtown Monterey, 5 min walk to lover's point beach and oceanfront walk. really accommodating staff.

understandably old building with creaky floors. this was not bothersome but for those that value very quiet places, may not be ideal for you.

Location great. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.

    Breakfast was good.

    Room was too small...limited parking.

Wonderful location and atmosphere. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was good too.

Beautiful Victorian main building probably built around 1890. Very well maintained with fantastic service. Complimentary glass of wine during social 2 hour period in the evening. One of my favorite places to stay period.

    Nothing not to love.

Very sweet B&B with an excellent staff. Perfect location for the Aquarium and walks along the ocean. Right in town with wonderful restaurants, art gallery, shops, and movie theatre. The other B&Bs in Pacific Grove cost twice as much, so it's a bargain too

Carpet in room was dirty and stained. Yuk! I understand they're getting a new manager, so we'll see if it improves. Not many places to park and street parking is hard to find at times. Plan on parking and walking places. It's so beautiful there, why not?

    10Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 8-29-2015

The price was just right, and the location was a short walk to Lover's Point beach. The desk was great. The room came with a great breakfast. The coffee was really good. Really. Loved the 125 year old ambiance. Very satisfied!

Actually we liked this place a lot. Cookies and coffee were out all night long. Beautiful garden area. We were very happy with this place

Lots of historical character, nice staff, very clean.

They were having trouble with their pipes and we were awakened multiple times each night by squealing screaching sounds. It wasn't restful at all, and although the staff member said "sorry" she wasn't able to change our room or do anything to help.
