Location. Liked there were two rooms

Cold. Gas fireplaces did not put out heat. More of a visual. Heat source was a small portable electric heater. Big difference in amenities of neighboring rooms in a separate building. Mattress uncomprtable

    Convenient location and lovely rooms!

The way this inn is managed made our stay somewhat uncomfortable. When we called to receive our door code, we spoke to someone off the property who wasn’t familiar enough with the property to know whether or not someone was available in person. He asked for credit card information over the phone, which made me suspect I was being scammed. Thankfully, the Charles Inn which shares a parking lot had access and was able to get us set up.

The bed and pillows very comfortable. The innkeeper was also so friendly and helpful. Also, allowing us a late checkout without a charge was appreciated.

The plumbing, windows, and outside furniture need updating badly. I didn’t shower because the water had a rusty color when it first came out. The sink fixtures are wearing away. The windows allow moisture in and need replacing.

    Nice location. Quiet area.

The room smelled old (probably because it is)

I got to check in early - the Innkeeper, Paula, was friendly and accomodating. Parking was easy and convenient in the private lot, which is good because I didn't move the car the entire stay. I walked everywhere! I had a room at the back of the Inn - even had my own sweet courtyard off the porch. Utterly charming! The room was cozy, quiet, comfortable "lived in" feeling. (A knob missing here, a bit of paint needed there but it was perfect for me!) The location is exactly what I wanted - a couple blocks to a coffeeshop, one more to the main street, and a few more to the ocean - simply delightful! I will return.

The tv was a bit difficult to navigate and had issues with connectivity.

    The inn was lovely.

Parking was difficult, the slots were very narrow and difficult to manuver.Check in was terrible. After getting an email that I could check in early at 3:00 there was no one on the premises to let me in. Instead I was given a number to call that connected me to someone in India who I could not understand. I was asked for my credit card number and when I questioned it I was told without it I could not gain entrance. I reluctently gave the number all the while thinking it was a very peculiar request. And certainly not welcoming!!

Cute place, nice location, clean, comfortable bed.

The staff, only available by phone, are not very friendly or helpful.

    Well, situated good parking

Instructions should make it more clear that you check in at the front door

Comfortable bed, OK furniture, good location

Mostly - noise from street to which my windows faced. This is not a fault of the owner or staff but passing cars, trucks and pedestrians happily chatting (+their dogs barking) starting at 5 am made my business days harder. The rooms did not offer microwave and fridge. The running water was not drinkable. I ended up driving to a Safeway to get a couple of gallons.

This is an old building, it needs some repair, and I think I saw a gentleman doing so during the day. Of the paper is peeling off the wall, the curtains don’t close all the way, and there isn’t a curtain for the door, which allows a bunch of diffused light to filter in the morning when you’re trying to sleep in on your vacation. Whole contactless, check in and check out where odd, and the signals were not working properly. It was hard to hear the operator. Checking you in from God only knows where, perhaps somewhere outside the U.S. we had some difficulty with the touchpad, but we eventually got in. I did not feel safe in that room at night. The beds were super comfortable.

It was quiet in the property, for the most part, but we could hear the people from the upper floor, making all kinds of noise and walking on our ceiling. We had access to a nice parking lot, and that made it possible to walk down to our favorite restaurants at the cannery row, 30 minutes away on foot.

Nice location, and a lovely old building. Thoughtful welcome amenities.

While the room and building were clean, they definitely felt a little run down. It could be considered as "Quaint charm", but at those room rates, expected a little more. The "Self checkin" process felt very impersonal. When we called the phone number a couple of times for questions, it seemed pretty clear that it was a management service not actually related to the hotel. I totally understand that "no onsite staff" is a boon for the hospitality industry, but I run an airbnb remotely myself, and I always ensure that the guests feel a direct connection to myself and the property. It is very hard to do that well, using automated text messages and outsourced answering services.
