Ayres Hotel & Spa Mission Viejo – Lake Forest

Breakfast is great. They should have bacon more often. I stayed 4 days and 3 days were sausage patties that were t good. The scrambled eggs, potatoes and waffles are great. The staff work hard.

Perhaps short staffed but housekeeping didn’t get around to cleaning the rooms until 3pm. I left early to go to the beach and other activities and would come back and they were just getting around to cleaning. Location too far from 5 frwy.

Free parking, Free breakfast. the night check in person. Awesome personality, great customer service.

I had requested a handicap room, I was not given one. Getting in and out of the tub/shower was very difficult.

Pool and jacuzzi are across the parking lot detached from the adjacent hotel. This isn’t safe at night for a solo female traveler.

Very calm atmosphere in a Safe area the staff was amazing and so friendly! My Room was a great size abs the bed was very comfortable. Would stay again and again.

A bit dated so it could use a refresh, no usb ports for charging which could be easily remedied by changing a single lamp.

The hotel room was clean, check in was easy. Cafe / pub breakfast was delightful. Music at the pub was perfect. Courtyard was well kept.

The quality of the hotel meets the expectations. WE stay here as often as we can when visiting the area. It is our favorite place in Lake Forest. Breakfast is always a real benefit.

AC unit did not work. It seems like pre-paid costumers get the less quality rooms.

The new staff that they have running the place starting from the manager I met all the way down to the overnight guys especially this one lady that checked me in and seemedI wish I remembered her name, but she was the best hotel desk worker I?ve ever met

Clean very clean. Great location great staff and things like like the fresh baked cookies is an extremely meaningful gesture. They allay hit the high marks at ayres.

Need access to coffee before 6 am. Travelers from other time zones like alaska wake earlier.

I wish there were 2 meat options for breakfast, or not sausage 2 days in a row. For those of us that Sausage makes ill, I just wish there was another option.

The bed not sure if it was a crappy mattress or crappy frame or both but beds need an upgrade. Door to bathroom hits TV and rubs against bed

Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious clean room. Easy and plenty of parking, located on a quiet and safe neighborhood.

Their bed is on the firm side, which isn't our preference.

The in house restaurant and it's staff were great.

Upon arrival the front desk staff was slightly rude and dismissive regarding my questions about the hotel. The bathroom in my room was not as clean as I would have liked. And the room could have used more vacuuming. Hotel has potential to be better.

Staff is great! Room size is nice.

It's a little dated. My room smelled like Mexican food..... The carpets felt damp.

The front desk staff and assistant manager seemed like they hated their jobs and annoyed to help with legitimate concerns.

Beautiful, quiet and accessible location with convenient access to basic necessities including stores and gas stations. Beautiful court yard where you can finish your breakfast and relax at any time. Good breakfast with decent selection.

It would be nice to have coffee and water available throughout the day. The option of tipping staff during breakfast felt a little pushy... Too bad that some of cleaning/room service staff did not speak any English and were unable to understand questions

Great location close to the main roads in and out of the area. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well furnished. Parking is included. Staff were very pleasant. Helped us get an anniversary gift we left behind. Full on breakfast foods provided.

The breakfast area was tight. Far too much in one little space for a full hotel. Strange stains next to the main ceiling light. Missing remote for living area TV. We could hear a lot of noise in the hallway, and our neighbors were not terribly quiet.
