Pros +
- Close to Korean town food and grocery store
- Only the fact that there is a kitchen, very small area, but somewhat useful when not so crowded. Very lousy cooking pots and pans. Ready to be trashed.
- It's a really good hostel, there is plug in the bed plus curtains to make it more individual. Great vibe and nice and friendly people.
Cons -
- No parking. Street PO parking only. Parking violation are issued around the property.
- Squeaky beds Some of the staff wasn’t friendly
- MANAGEMENT. Twice, I tried to do the right thing during my two stays, one back in May, and my very least one in September, instead I ended up being the bad guy. Using the video cameras against me, without examining the context of each incident. They rather side with the VOLUNTEERS, as they call themselves. I could keep on writing a lot more; but whether it will help or not, I have no idea.

Neighborhood kinda weird. You gotta pay 2$ for the towels
Convenient location with several shops around and next to metro station and bus stops for the most popular directions. (Almost) direct connection with the airport. 15 minutes' walk from Hollywood. Enough bathrooms to avoid waiting, reliable WiFi. All the necessary kitchen facilities, outdoor tables/benches and patio to hang out and eat in the open air. Quiet, more or less clean (for LA) district. Clear and timely pre-arrival instructions. NB! They will ask for compulsory registration the day before, do not miss the e-mail.
Rooms are rather small and packed-up, so do not forget your earplugs (you might have a snoring roommate).
The staff are hospitable. The security.
The rooms are not spacious enough.
Toilet in the room clean up every day, the space for luggage separate from bedroom is very good idea for guests packing, free breakfast
Living room and kitchen is in the same area too small for many guests, there were many homeless at metro station but one block after crossing street is feel safe
some of the volunteers who are no longer part of the hostel.
This place is full of BED BUGS and insects! When I informed the manager, the situation was ignored, and their only response was, "It's a hostel; every hostel has bed bugs," which is the most ridiculous response. When I asked for bed bug spray, the manager, Andrey, said, "I don't care." This place is also not a safe place for single young girls traveling, as the owner, Moe, is very happy to look at you like a piece of meat. He tried to make his moves on a young volunteer there. The manager Andery, a tall white dude who only wears black shorts, walks around the hostel half alive, no smile on his face, always looking miserable, and if you are not Russian, you will be ignored. They are currently desperate for customers, which is why their rates are so low. It is an okay place if you don't mind being ignored and having bed bug bites all over your body. You literally get what you pay for. Koreatown is also far from anything and has many homeless people around the area. You might also see a rat around the hostel here and there. Also, if you look under your bedsheets, some of the mattress covers have a lot of stains as if someone either vomited or peed on them, and they did not bother to wash them. Many of the blankets are very dirty, and they do not wash them. Their excuse is "In LA hostels don't wash blankets." What? So you will sleep under the same blanket as many other people before you, sharing the same germs and sweat.See pictures of the bed bug on the bed and, bites all over my body, and bed bugs crawling in their laundry room on "clean" sheets. If you are staying there because it is cheap, avoid rooms: D, L, E, Y, Z, K.The only reason why I stayed there is that I was one of the volunteers. I was let go because I was pointing out too many mistakes that the manager, Andrey, does and ignores. We know how this place is run and how badly managed it is and the dirt people sleep on.

Very impressive place for relaxing.Cozy and quiet place but also people are lively. So If you want quiet place or not, you can satisfied all
Little bit hard to find the Lumi. It's located between the 2 big building, and front door is made of steel in front of the road
they don't keep their word when they make a reservation.plus this place is known for employing illegals from Russia and Brazil!
they treat guest like cattle!
A lovely clean and friendly establishment
Check in nearly got unpleasant, I was delayed at the airport and you must give notice if you will be delayed otherwise no one is at the front desk
Easy-to-reach hostel, by metro and buses. Quiet during the night and clean. I had a nice stay. It is a small hostel, good to spend the night and feel safe. The common area is small, but the balcony available is nice.
The doors' locking system was a bit confusing.
Rooms and washrooms were very clean. There were lockers to keep your items safe. I liked the people I roomed with. I appreciated the bidets on the toilets. Staff kindly provided us with a space heater to keep things warm. When I closed the door to my room, it was pretty quiet. Facilities were well maintained, apart from a broken fridge and dishwasher.
It's a mixed bag in terms of the people who visit, which is expected for a hostel. I didn't personally have any issues with the staff, but watching them handle unpleasant clients often left the situation worse than how it started. The mattress sunk in the middle so I never had a good night's sleep.
The building is cute, clean, and feels safe!!!And The room was very clean and the roommates were all kind and fun❤️ The staff are also friendly!I like here and I wanna visit here again
Depending on the time, the shower only comes out a little at a time
Excellent good value, convenient location and friendly staff
Could do with more shower/toilet facilities
Disgusting
I lost my face washer and detergent, there is security camera, when you ask for help to find out what is your property, the staff there just didn’t give a damn. Especially some foreign staff, they know nothing and are arrogant, that place made me feel itchy, asked to change sheet, they wanted to charge me, their bed has hygiene problem, they won’t change me clean sheet.
