    • Very clean, well ran well kept hostel! Great location but might be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it haha! Would totally visit again and recommend 100%
    • First, there's no staff at the desk before 10 or after 18. I needed a towel and just managed to find a staff member the THIRD day. I had to dry after showers with a t-shirt.Then, there's the rooms. So hot a couple of nights that all of us (men in a mixed room) had to sleep in our underwear and hope we weren't bothering anyone. The lounge is dim lighted and kind of depressing and don't even get me started on breakfast: I had it for free and only attempted to eat it once (it's just bananas and a few croissants like, from the week before, I'd say).It wasn't bad per se. Restrooms were clean and nice. It wasn't expensive at least and there's buses near to get everywhere. If someone put just a little effort, it would be okay.
    • The hostel is located in a really convenient location as you can get easy access to public transport (closest bus stop is just less than a few minutes away - walking distance). Just be aware that the neighborhood can be a bit rough, but if you're a solo female with some experience that shouldn't be an issue - it wasn't for me! :)The breakfast is a big plus, as it's served on time every day and it includes a good selection of breads, fruit, spreads, and coffee. There's plenty of room to store your food as well. The rooftop is also great - with views to the Hollywood sign. The dorm room I stayed in (female only) was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also cleaned and well maintained.

    Cons -

    • Well, I kind of mixed the whole thing in the paragraph before.
    • Literally only has one fork
    • I didn't like the location of the hostel (prostitutes and gangs). There was a guy in my dorm that made me really uncomfortable, he was also incredibly loud and drunk every night (even though the rules state that you can't be drunk). Even though I liked the free breakfast, I feel like they should add more variety to the breakfast options.

Overall a lovely little hostel where everything is described. Location is great with lots to eat and see in the area and also lots of tourist activities are within walking distance.

    Literally only has one fork

The staff was nice and the Hostel was actually really clean. I also enjoyed the free breakfast. The staff helped me out when I had to delay my check in.

There is a rooftop !!! With view of the Hollywood sign!! That is so cool. If you are looking for a cool place to stay in LA without breaking the wallet go there. I haven’t had the chance to try the breakfast, but I’m sure it’s good. About an hour and half on bus of LAX, witch is correct.

    4MiraPosted on: 5-10-2024

Breakfast is breads and coffee. Not a substantial meal done as cheaply as possible. Fridge and kitchen area to cook. Too bad kitchen sink is on opposite side of the room. Big flat screen TV - when you can get the remote(s) to work - good luck!

The staircase is so long and steep it’s like climbing Everest! I wasn’t the only guest complaining. A guy 20 years younger said he had foot pain too. I ended up in the hospital with plantar fasciitis in my right foot and couldn’t walk for almost 3 mos! First, The owner Mrs Kwon took me to her terrible acupuncturist instead of the hospital and I now have scars on my foot from his bad use of needles. Too many rules & metal bunk beds. Street noise facing Western Ave is loud even with ear plugs. Location is good unless you want to sleep…

Best hostel in LA hands down, I stayed here a couple years ago for the first time and it was amazing. Was even better this time around, they remodeled so there is more room in the common areas. The staff is so friendly and cool, I always end up meeting someone who’s in the music industry like I am when I stay there too on top of meeting awesome people from all around the world. The rooftop is my favorite spot. Great place to unwind and watch the sunset or have morning coffee while looking at the Hollywood sign, the view is superb!

Only thing I didn’t like was having to leave, this place is great nothing negative to say at all about it

Cheap. It's safe.Owner and stuff is kind.

Sometime, I feel cold at nights.

    Very poor

This is a hostel so I came with low expectations - I just needed to get an overnight sleep and check out early next morning. And I couldn’t even get that. I was in the room for 6 ladies (Woman 2) and it’s windows were facing the busy street. Right under the window there was a metal plate on the road and when a car was passing it made a lot of noise. Even more noise when a truck was passing by, literally felt like an earthquake with the building falling apart - now imagine waking up a million times at night because of that. I didn’t stay very long to check all the facilities but I hated the beds, there was no normal comforter, just a thin blanket, more like a couch throw, with no flat sheet, and it’s probably not washed or changed in between guests. The bathrooms were dirty and full of someone’s hair. It was relatively easy for me to find street parking nearby but the area isn’t safe. Prostitutes working on the corner right there and weird people around

The prices were pretty good. The upstairs patio is nice. Convenient for the bus line. Free breakfast and coffee every morning. Staff was friendly. Clean and no bed bugs.

Too many stairs. Very small shower.

(didn't know anything about breakfast-) bed room, bathroom, and rooftop were great. Large spacious rooms. Large common areas, although I saw very few people while I was there. I Had a "girls only" room too which was nice.

My room was bt the front of the building, there was loads of noisey traffic all night and there's a metal plate in the road that makes the traffic more noisy. What can you do? They do provide ear plugs

Comfy bed clean rooms location not bad with views of the hollywood sign bus stop just right outside of hostel many shops to buy food and take aways

Lack of cups to make drinks so brought my own after a day only one thin blanket but i guess it gets particularly warm there at night but i did feel the cold in last day as the weather went cold

    10ErbyPosted on: 4-7-2024

I absolutely love the location and lay out of the hostel. Staff treated me more so like family than just your typical guest checking-in. The cultural dynamic was a plus because I met people from countries such as Japan, Brazil, Russia, and other parts of the U.S. I could not have asked for a better room and better hospitality. The breakfast was delicious and the people seemed very special in their own unique way. I have nothing but great things to say about this place, and wish that there were more places such as this one. If I am ever in town, I will surely reach out in order to book another stay. Thank you so much!-Erby Foster

    Kitchen, bathroom, staff, location

My bed felt comfortable but my back was hurting after a while

    1NadiaPosted on: 3-21-2024

Nothing. It's in a centrally located area. But we had a terrible experience, Left the very same night we checked in.

We didn't stay there as we were deliberately given the incorrect code the first night. We checked in, went for dinner and could not get back in as the code to enter the door was incorrect. We waited for almost 40 minutes in the drizzle. After 40 minutes two other people came along and let themselves in with the correct code. Both my daughter and I had the feeling that this was deliberately done, as we had a bad vibe from the front desk host immediately upon arrival. We were also supposed to be sharing the same room with her. Needless to say we left that night and asked for a complete refund. They only refunded us part so far, I've been emailing and calling to get the other half. which they have no reason to hold. The front desk girl had zero empathy and pretended that she did not know that we had the incorrect code. We were glad to go elsewhere in any case, as the room smelled very musty and vibes were weird.

It was super clean! My first time staying in a hostel and it was a good experience!

It was a great place the rooms just got cold and the blanket they give you is thin so maybe bring an extra blanket

    10HeyishiPosted on: 3-13-2024

there is a bidet in the women's bathroom that is just *chefs kiss* (temp control and dryer setting). i appreciated how much effort the staff put into making the place feel welcoming and hospitable. everyone i stayed with was respectful. the space was clean, the common area was easy to navigate and never too busy. lockers were abundant

earplugs are neccesary as the room faces the street and there's a lot of traffic noise. the room was cold so you will likely need to ask for an extra blanket (the staff don't hestitate to give you one)

location. staff and rooftop are great

could be better in cleanness. and if there is mirror in the room will be great
