    Pros +

    • I like a small room cz i sleep well on it. Most hotels had bigger rooms.
    • I liked the old house (if only the manager took better care of it). It has many rooms & there are bathrooms on each floor. The little backyard is lovely. So is the front yard. There's a small study area by the kitchen. Kitchen is tiny but well-stocked.
    • LA love hose is the worst place I ever stayed in my life!

    Cons -

    • I still have to walk a bit and I’m scared walking alone going to the walk of fame since there are creepy guys out there especially at night.
    • The older, bald front desk guy was unfriendly towards me during my entire stay. Bad hospitality. House was cold & needs a paint job/renovation. No toilet paper holders in some bathrooms. Worn carpet and towels. Cheap bedsheets. Very slow internet.
    • LA love host is dirty, smelly, loud all night, and they have bed bugs that I was bitten by. Worst night stay at a place ever!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is among all the best places and near the metro. The cleanliness was awesome. And all the people were so friendly when sitting together like one family.the staff prepared everything we needed.

Only the smell. The hotel needs some air clearness.

    The price

It's not a full-service hotel. So it lacks full-service features like TV in room, which I don't want, need, or care to pay for. This offers ideal location and original Los Angeles architecture for locals and tourists. SUPER CLEAN.

Due to not being designed as a hotel, quirky arrangements result in the plumbing. It works, but it's not ideal. No light in the shower or bathroom. Just lighting in the immediately adjacent hallway.

    The staff was really nice!

Bathrooms were small, but there was always at least one restroom available which I appreciated

    10WatneyPosted on: 2-14-2026

Top notch service!!!! They are not stingy with their bathroom supplies. If you’re thinking too much, trust me you won’t be disappointed with this choice

Parking lot is good but the entry to the lot attached with the hostel is narrow. So very big SUVs might not fit.

The vintage feel was almost magical. Every detail within the hostel was carefully arranged and beautiful. Every part was so well maintained and clean. The staff were incredibly kind and went above and beyond!

This hostel is very close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I stayed in a private room with one small single bed and one small double bed. The facilities are well equipped, including drinking water, kitchenware, and hot chocolate. The staff were very friendly and patient. Luggage storage is also available. The price is very affordable, making it a great stay overall.

Parking is available for $10 per night. Laundry facilities (including washing, detergent, and drying) are available for $6 per load. These need to be requested in advance.
