Nice, well-maintained property in a fun, walkable location. The retro Californian decor is well done. Relatively quiet rooms. The cafe/ bar and its staff are excellent.

The valet/ security guards seemed unusually tense for their actual job duties and the neighborhood - maybe that’s an LA thing? I was reprimanded (8 of 10 on the Unnecessary Harshness Scale) by one of them for softly placing my clean sneaker against one of the building’s exterior concrete walls to do a light stretch before a jog. Also the pool is almost directly under a utility pole/ distribution transformer, which I would assume has been approved by all of the relevant city regulatory agencies - even so, still a fairly shocking arrangement for potential pool-users.

It’s stylish, the neighbourhood is safe and convenient.

There was an incorrect charge to be deducted from the deposit. Was not able to contact the hotel via booking.com message cause they never reply.

Location, very large room, huge bed, clean and tidy.

I switched the air conditioner off but the vent was still blowing out cold air and I froze during the night.

Very very clean hotel. My sister and I travel a lot and often visit LA. We were looking for a new hotel to stay at that wasn't overly expensive as we usually stay in Beverly Hills. This hotel was the first hotel I haven't had to complain about a thing in for a long long time. The rooms were exceptionally clean, beds very comfortable, staff very helpful. The only feedback I could provide is that when you are checking in you should state then and there if you're wanting house keeping to make up your room daily or every 3 days. The location is fantastic, we love to walk so it's a very safe and walkable area. Valet staff are friendly and always there upon entry. The pool is small, if you're visiting in summer or a warmer month with the sole focus on swimming all day, perhaps look for a hotel with a larger pool, however its still nice to sit at, just not very large/not a lot of lounges.

I liked the classy americana vibes, the bar the overall design of the hotel, and we had fun. Location wise many cafes, eateries and shops around.

I thought we booked the inner balcony, it came with a street balcony, was a bit noisy daytime, and I would've loved that privacy wall I saw on booking, but eh, the room was exactly as expected.

The location is very convenient with lots of nice restaurants in the area and plenty to do. Great car had been taken with the decore and it was pleasant just to be there. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The shower faucet was a bit stiff, which made controlling the temperature a bit tricky. There could have been more shelf space in the bathroom and the closets were a bit small. These are very minor complaints.

The property was absolutely beautiful! Every detail is so well thought out and the staff is very friendly! It’s in a great location, close to everything you could need or want to do!

Only thing is there is no smart TV which seems strange for such a modern and pricey hotel, other than that everything was perfect!

Limited service from the on-site bar/restaurant, if that's important to you. Fridge in-room is packed solid with sodas/juices/drinks for sale, which leaves no room to keep extra food from dinner refrigerated. (There's a microwave to heat it up, but no way to keep it overnight).
