Hotel Silver Lake Los Angeles

Although somewhat unclean, the room wasn't bad

Where do I start?. First of all, it's located in the middle of a homeless camp and there's trash everywhere. The hotel itself is used as a home for indigents and we were surrounded by rooms full of garbage with open doors, and drug addicts and homeless.

The staff were good. There were many security guards.

Everything! This is not a holiday spot, it is a residence. There were altercations outside our room all night .We needed security- unsafe. Floors were dirty, marijuana smell everywhere. Not as advertised. Located under a freeway, can¿t walk to much.

It was clean, beds were comfortable and the AC worked.

It's pretty run down on the outside. Hall lights flickered, stairwell grimy and paint peeling. Walking past a security guard and a homeless man in the lobby to find staff behind what appeared to be bullet-proof glass did not leave me feeling safe.

Location is ok, but a lot of homeless campments near by, some of them went inside hotel property. Not the safest spot for family with young children.

Dirty outside, homeless people went inside property, left bunch of items in elevator, so we had to take stairs to 5th floor.

They had multiple security staff

It was advertised as a 3 star but was definitely a 1 or 2 star hotel. Everything was broken. Everything. Pictures frames were taped together, doors were broken. Graffiti on the cabinets. Mold in all the corners.

It was functional

The quality did not match at all the reality of the hotel. The place looks rundown from the outside and is rundown on the inside? You know why? It's because it functions partially as a homeless shelter. I wouldnt care if it was cheap enough to reflect it.

It felt unsafe, unhealthy environment. It had holes in the roof that had been poorly patched and reeked of mildew with pinesole! We had to sleep with the window open and it was cold. I asked if the heater worked and he said yes,but it didnt work.

People fighting arguing outside at night. Didn¿t get sleep. The area was dirty.

Nothing only the location

Homeless and no paper toilet and dirty so bad experience

Location and price. Go-Go a Mexican food stand is near by and its steak quesadilla and chips are fantastic. It is within a short walk of some gay venues and has very easy parking.

Pool area has potential but as it is now is forbidding and gloomy, but that is the romance of Los Angeles. Security is good and staff is helpful and housekeeping does a great job. Lots of towels and sheets if you need them and they fold the TP.

I did not like much about this hotel. From the staff to the room.

So my partner and I checked in at 11pm and the front office staff were not there. We waited 40 minutes. The staff got dropped off which I think was an Uber. They were very unprofessional. The tv in the room did not work and the remote had no batteries.

Hot bath and proximity to downtown

The building is old and needs major refurbishment. Some parts of the balcony to on the 5th floor are bent and one can easily slip, very dangerous.

Laid back, clean and spacious room. Friendly and helpful staff.

Some noise from other rooms and noise from the near by freeway but not awful

Sadly there nothing to like about this hotel, it was very dirty. There was a lot of junk under the bed and between the mattress and the boxspring. There were cockroaches outside of the room and a drunk lady knocking on doors. The AC wasn¿t working either

The hotel was quiet and not on a main road. I booked a ¿suite¿ that was spacious but very plain. Easy in and out. Helpful front desk.

This was on in Silver Lake, making the name misleading. While nothing happened, the way the hotel was set up, I felt like anyone could have walked up to my room. Saw signs for the pool when I was there, but the pool was empty and filled with garbage.

Air conditioning and price

Unclean restroom, refrigerator, desk, floor, and walls. Unfriendly receptionist. Will not return to this place.

I think I just like the staff other than that I don¿t like it. The photos and actual are way different.

I don¿t like everything. No elevator to 4th floor, outside the room smell weeds. Inside the room smell old woods, the light in the bathroom is not working and the aircon blew air is not that cold and you can¿t adjust it plus the aircon is dirty .

The hotel is rated at 3 stars no don¿t be fooled! This is more of a 1 star motel! Need refund!

Horrible rooms with cigarettes buds all over room and 100¿s of flies inside the room! Why false advertise it being a 3 star! Very bad experience!

Nothing, did not look like the picture, false representing! It¿s gross!

Did not like cars spray painted, mold in bathrooms, appliances broken, pee stains on the bedding, shower curtains dirty, phone not working, and cigarette buds on the floor. The customer service told me that we needed to have the room cleaned if we wanted

Location was close to destination

Very dated, carpet dirty, behind the bed dirty, broken latch, sketchy area and guests.
