    Pros +

    • Exceptional Customer Service provided, friendly staff, rooms are very clean and upgraded. Very pleased with my stay.
    • It was close to the convention center
    • Nothing!

    Cons -

    • I was very satisfied with my stay, did not have any problems.
    • Pretty much everything else. The bed was rock hard. There was a cockroach party in the bathroom (at least 5 that I've seen). One of the housekeeping staff removed the pillow case from my pillow and replaced it with one of theirs. Mine was expensive.
    • Filthiest room and bathroom I've ever seen. We had to leave the hotel at around 2am because the strongest and filthiest horrible toxic smell came from the bathroom. I'm reporting the hotel and room to the proper sanitation authorities and dispute.

    It had free parking

My room was in a corner dirty tub the smokiness out side caused my room to smell like smoke

The only positive thing about this location was that they secured your cars safety.

As soon as I walked into the first room, the bathroom door was broken and the room smelled like cigarettes. I then transferred to a different room and the bathroom door had a cross made out of human poop. I left right away and was denied a refund.

Nothing at all. It was beyond gross. Never again.

I paid $--- for a king room with tub (that room was fine) BUT ended up moving to a different room because that one had a mouse in it! The room they moved us too smell so bad!!! And it was beyond dirty! I could of gone to a cheaper place and gotten that!

Cheap place to stay in Los Angeles.

Room appeared clean but smelt like urine. It could've also been the musty carpet. That is why I scored this hotel low. The owner was no where to be seen at check out. He had a huge yellow sign on the door that said "no refunds, credit or vacancy."

    Absolutely nothing.

Everything from the cramped up room.the horrible service. The dirtyness of the room.

well I like that it has air conditioning and a fridge. it was me and my daughter for animeexpo

well it was a horrible area and manager was very strict about visitors. My husband came to visit with my son-in-law and he called my room right away yelling I said no visitors. I think you should be able to have visitors as long as it not after hours.

The only good thing was the location

The hotel had rats in the rooms

    2AngelicaPosted on: 4-28-2016

    The rooms were decent.

We were told we weren't allowed visitors and if we had our friend stay she would be calling the cops.

    Location

They didn't have shampoo, they don't give you breakfast, and they charge a lot.

The anxiety of not knowing if I had a room and the way I was treated before leaving was not a fun experience.

When we got there to check in the receptionist could not find my reservation. He kept saying under my name there wasn’t anything, even with showing my emails and confirmation in the booking app. I had 2 rooms booked, 1 under my name and 1 under my sisters as my guest. I started to panic because I didn’t know what to do if we didn’t have a place to stay. After a few minutes he found my reservation under my sisters name. Apparently both rooms were popping up under my sisters name for some reason. After he handed us the keys I asked him about late check out (I had also called prior to me booking). He told me I was fine to stay till 12 that the first hour was free and every hour after would be $30. At 11:10 am we woke up to banging on the door, we opened the door and let housekeeping know we had already asked for late checkout. He told us to call front desk. When we called and spoke to a now lady that was there, she was very adamant we leave and that she was only giving us till 11:30 am and would be charging us $60 dollars after. I was trying to explain to her what the man had previously told us, and she kept cutting me off telling me 11:30 and that she didn’t care what he said that SHE was saying 11:30. At that point I would’ve only had 15 minutes to get out and I was telling her that wasn’t enough time. She was pretty much saying it was my fault and “didn’t you read checkout is at 11”. I kept reiterating that the man had confirmed to us twice we were okay to have a late checkout. Her customer service was horrible. And she started saying she would charge us $60. We were getting our stuff together to leave and housekeeping kept coming and banging in the door until we left at 12.

    Spent money on a stay...

I did not get to stay at the facility. It was part of my unpleasant experience during my trip. My name is Oluwakemi Badejo. I arrived in Los Angeles at 6:45 PM on October 10, 2025, for a CNS conference at the LA Convention Center.I had booked for 5 days at Moxy Downtown Hotel, and paid with my card prior to my flight to LA. Upon my arrival from the airport at Moxy, my card was declined after presenting it for confirmation at the reception. While their staff was nice and took time to explain their policy (which does not permit online third party booking), I got stuck and as the hours passed in the middle of the cold night in an unfamiliar environment, made panic calls to my friend. She was able to book for a room at Studio Suites (using my card details), supposedly 1-2 minutes from Moxy.Despite the assistance from two Uber drivers during the night (3:30 am on October 11, 2025), I was unable to locate Studio Suites at 1321 Flower Street. The closest nearby address I found was 1323, which was right next to 1300.We booked a room at Motel 6 so I won’t have to spend the night on the streets. Their check in time was 2 pm that day, and even though they agreed to an earlier time, it still did not work in preventing my having to stay on the streets (it was already a few minutes past 3 :30 am on October 11, 2025).I ended up returning to the airport due to safety concerns.I requested for cancellation full refund from both Studio Suites and Motel 6, but got no response.I’m expecting a quick response to this matter.Best regards,  Dr. Oluwakemi Badejo
