    Pros +

    • The size of place and the pool area
    • My visit to this stylish Melrose apartment was nothing short of amazing — everything I needed was either inside or a short walk away. The neighborhood buzzes with life and has endless spots to explore, from quirky boutiques to great eateries. I loved checking out cool local places like Headline Records and the colorful backdrop at The Paul Smith Pink Wall for photos. Even the rooftop vibes and nearby nightlife kept things interesting after sunset. Truly an energetic and convenient Los Angeles home base.
    • What I enjoyed most about my LA stay was how centrally located this apartment was — surrounded by incredible food, shopping, and cultural highlights. I could easily explore Melrose’s trendiest avenues on foot and discover local gems. A quick ride took me to other hotspots too, but being near places like Headline Records and The Paul Smith Pink Wall made everyday adventures effortless. The apartment itself was clean and modern with thoughtful touches. It was great for both solo trips and exploring with friends.

    Cons -

    • Beds were well worn air conditioner in back room only.dirt and hairs in bathroom.Snacks left were all opened already. Very dated
    • Beds are not so comfortable. Not enough seating in living room.
    • We had a very disturbing experience with the staff from the moment we arrived. Upon check-in, we were locked outside the building gate for nearly one hour because a staff member had blocked the entrance with her car. When we asked whose car it was, the staff repeatedly lied and said it did not belong to them. We later clearly saw the same cleaning staff member run away from the scene, which felt extremely rude and sketchy.During check-out, I recognized the same staff member and calmly mentioned that she was the person who had blocked us outside during check-in. She became visibly angry, raised her voice, and began making aggressive comments about our pets and threatening extra charges, even though we were politely packing our car and had already allowed the cleaners to begin their work.Shortly after, a staff member named Miguel called me and used extremely foul, abusive language and sent threatening messages, demanding that we leave immediately and implying consequences if we didn’t. This was frightening and completely unacceptable. When this was reported to Booking.com support, the property staff denied everything, despite the fact that I have proof.Additionally, upon arrival, we were initially given the wrong entrance code, causing further delays and inconvenience. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the window blinds were broken and poorly maintained.

Staying at the put me right in the heart of a cultural melting pot with amazing food spots. Walking distance gems like Paper Tiger Bar made evenings fun with drinks and conversation. The local cafes and Korean restaurants gave the area a welcoming vibe. It was definitely more vibrant than the typical LA residential block.

My stay at this townhouse was super convenient for checking out Hollywood’s vibrant scene. I walked to Ovation Hollywood to shop and see city views, then grabbed late-night eats at Fat Sal's Deli - Hollywood—a must for comfort food lovers. There were plenty of places to drink and hang out close by. The area is great if you love a mix of theater, food, and nightlife nearby.

I loved our stay at Modern Hollywood Homes — the apartment was spotless, stylish, and exactly as pictured, with the huge plus of free on-site parking so coming and going was effortless. The building felt secure and quiet at night, which was a welcome surprise given how close it is to all the action. From here it was an easy short drive to Melrose Avenue for shopping and to the Sunset Strip for nightlife and people-watching. The host was responsive and left great local tips that made exploring Hollywood simple.
