Downtown Los Angeles Proper Hotel, a Member of Design Hotels

The hotel is cute and has various restaurants within.

There were toenail clippings on the floor of the bathroom which was repulsive. Also, we did not get the room we paid for. Is there any way to get a partial refund for that?

Hotel was lovely. Staff absolutely wonderful! Restaurant & rooftop bar super trendy with amazing healthy bites and fabulous drinks!

Friendly staff

The decoration in the room it’s really old. The room we got is the worst one. There’s a night market across the street, which is really loud and they won’t stop until 12 AM. Every day in the morning the bell from the church rings every hour didn’t sleep well and you can’t even fully close the window there were wind blowing through the gap. Very noisy we stayed in other proper before it was a whole different picture. Did not worth the price.

Artistic, immaculate, stylishly understated designed rooms, friendly and professional staff.

Property is fantastic. Surrounding area not so fantastic. I would have liked a couple of quality craft beers on tap at the bar rather than cans as the only option.

Excellent variery of breakfast options. Portions were generous; well-presented and flavorful. Coffee was wonderful and service was professional, polite and non-obtrusive.

Service is over expected. I feel I was taken care of throughout the process. The room is quiet and the design is classic. Make sure to ask for quiet room if that is what you care about.

Amazing staff. Manager Bruno and Vanessa were extremely efficient and thoughtful. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and colleagues!

Staffs are friendly and were able to respond inquires quickly

Amenities are not impressed and need maintenance. Easy transportation in downtown but not really necessary to stay here just for the hotel

From the arrival, to the warm welcome, the amazing rooftop views, the super friendly staff and the room - this was just perfect and worth our money.

Everything was great

Trendy boutique hotel at the southern edge of Broadway. Trendy boutique hotel vibe, nice decor and food, nice rooftop bar and restaurant.

Location is a bit isolated with not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Closest good coffee is 3-4 blocks away. But in a way that is not a bad thing in downtown LA. Immediate area felt safe too.

First stay, very bad experience! It's very, very noisy and badly soundproofed. Children and adults can't sleep at all and can hear all the sounds in the road, especially the sounds of cars! This is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in!

Beautiful contemporary hotel in the heart of downtown, making everywhere in the city very accessible. Great rooftop bar and restaurant. Very friendly and helpful team. I’ve stayed here twice now and definitely would choose it again.

The staff was unbelievably nice and attentive. Valet was out front and we walked right into the hotel and checked in, this took a couple of minutes. The ambiance of the entire hotel is sooo nice. The room was spacious and the bathroom was huge! We loved that we could open the windows and had access to such amenities. The tech the TV included was impressive. We could order room service from the tv and see the bill there as well. The minibar was really well stocked (all drinks you can thinks of, snacks, GOOD coffee) and the complimentary waters were appreciated and so needed. We really loved the loveseat, dining area! It was the perfect spot to spend some of the evening/morning snacking and being together. Best part is that it was our anniversary and the staff left us sweets and wine to celebrate when we arrived. We felt so special and cared for. ❤️

Incredibly comfortable bed, lovely design hotel, fab food and drinks and very helpful staff. Great location in DTLA. Definitely would come back. The rooms are snug but that’s what you get for a city hotel. We booked a deluxe king with city view. Try the avocado bruschetta, amazing!

Room was spectacular. Rooftop pool and restaurant was excellent.

Difficult to make changes to reservations (had to call 2x and long hold). Staff was not clear on resort credit toward food beverage. Parking not great.

The southwestern boho chic decor and style were amazing. The rooftop restaurant and pool were so cool. The attention to detail in the rooms like the bathrooms and toiletries, the cleanliness and staff friendliness were perfection.
