Location

The room needs a chair. My stay was 4 nights. Sitting on the bed only was not ideal. When a guest is planning a multiple night stay, providing a more convenient room would meet their needs better.

Proximity to downtown and the beach.

The bathroom has a lot of mildew growing on the ceiling and walls that was a bit gross.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is directly across from the beach.

We had a family emergency & they would not refund my one night stay after staying 2 days. I was really disappointed with the noise and the people around the hotel. There are drunk people and homeless people making noise which makes it hard to sleep.

Great location directly across from the beach.The hotel is perfect for quiet Imperial beach. It's not a fancy hotel but very clean and remodeled. Near all the main restaurants on foot,and a short walk to the IB pier.

No air-conditioning just a cecelling fan. But all worked out after opening the windows. Water pressure in the shower could be a little bit stronger.

I liked the location of Sand Castle.

The room was more like a hostel than a hotel. Towels were stained and some had holes. The rug was gross with a yellow stain on one corner. The heater didn't work the first night and it was freezing. Water was slow to clear in sink. I switched hotels.

We love the location.The Beach was across the street and walking distance to several eateries.

AC didn't seem to do anything. TV didn't work but we were there to get away from tech.

The walls are paper thin so I could hear someone snoring all night. I heard people's TV's blaring as if they were in my room. I also heard loud conversations, and in the morning people singing loudly. Insects on windowsill. Not a restful experience.

Clean and neat with good location, close to the beach and walkable to restaurants. Hotel employee was very helpful.

No desk or chair in the room to make a work space. There is no air conditioning (didn't need it during my stay) so, even with ceiling fan, might be very uncomfortable in summer.

The location, free parking, caring staff.

Furniture was very worn. There were no towel bars, hooks or closets for hanging clothes. There was a full kitchen but no dishes. cutlery, dish towels or dish soap.

Surprisingly clean and comfortable for the price. Good restaurants close-by. Easy access to San Diego.

No mattress pad on the bed, however if one prefers a firm mattress (and I do) it served well.

TV Cable box sensor didn't work (was stolen). They KNOW some are missing, but they don't tell me. AFTER I've unpacked, settled in and tried the TV, they offer me to change the room...... Always check the TV first.
