We were checked in by hotel employee who was awesome, the valetbell staff were great The room was very clean and nice.

The pool was pretty disgusting to be honest when it came to cleanliness of the pool surround and jacuzzi was a swamp. Even worse then the pool area cleanliness was the service at Sammys Restaurant. They are extremely rude and all have poor attitudes.

I got a upgrade Ocean view for my birthday and it was so amazing. I will always remember this place.

The food at Sammy s was awful we paid $54.00 for a simple breakfast and only had 2 bites it all went in the trash. We were very disappointed in the food and couldn't believe it because the restaurant is beautiful and great location.

The rooms were very dusty, the noise factor from house keeping was reduculiouly loud in the morning cause me to lose sleep, we had ants because house keeping did not mop and sweep, I was told they don't do that. I feel like some upgrades could be done.

They are short staffed. They did not have the room I booked, told me certain charges would be waived because the room did not have AC but at the time of check out - they did not have staff to fix the charges and the lines were too long - so total disaster

The best think about the hotel was the location; close to my family and restaurants.

The first night, there was no air and promises to fix it never happened. hot places don't suit us well. Plus the price we paid should have produced a better environment. We got a cooler room; however there were pieces of toys found in the room.

Very nice, clean, large room. The couch is a 'loveseat' so not much room for sitting. Good view of the ocean and beach.

The ocean had posted signs of no swimming due to contamination which I learned is common in that area. Quite a damper on our vacation since we planned to layout on the beach and use the ocean. The staff was pleasant and helpful but not abundant.

THIS IS NOT A RESORT, 1 small pool, can¿t swim in the ocean due to high pollution, Room was not dark enough to sleep in.The front door & bathroom doors had a fogged glass panel which let light in. Not what you would expect from a Marriott

The location, the staff and the vibe. Can't beat it in California.

The hotel is a little beat by salt, you can see the deterioration and not really being maintained.

The color scheme and location.

The windows did not close. I asked to switch rooms the front desk refused daid no other room was available. I looked onli and could have booked another room. The person who was supposed to close the windows never came so I spent 2 nights in a cold room

We absolutely LOVE this hotel! We will be back for sure! The room is so nice and big and we loved having the patio. The patio in the morning is wonderful, coffee, Croissant, and the Ocean view. Amazing!!

The view was incredible from the ocean view room.

Yes the staff was not pleasant. The area was far from most San Diego attractions. The beds were not cleaned appropriately and the room had an odor.

staff was very accommodating, rooftop lounge is lovely, enjoyed the hot tub. restaurant was amazing also.

furniture not very comfortable though nice to have more furniture than just the bed. weird toilet. dislike hidden fees but still feel the stay was worth the total price

Old, got locked out of room for over two hours-switched rooms to an even older room.

Great location, great room, friendly & helpful staff: Front desk, valet, bar, wait, spa and beach attendants were some of the nicest and accommodating people I've seen in the service industry. Would return without hesitation.

No issues whatsoever, but I was already aware of the few nit-picks other people had: resort fee is $20/night, valet overnight parking is $25/night, room service doesn't automatically clean your room, etc. No big deal ppl, this is industry standard stuff.

The hotel was modern and clean. The location was right on the beach and the room that we upgraded too was amazing.

If anything there was no K-cups for the coffee maker in the room. But the front desk provided for us.
