Ayres Hotel Manhattan Beach LAX

Beautiful hotel with big rooms.

We had this water leak caused by the AC unit outside. Somehow they had the water runoff pipe coming into our room and dripping all over the bathroom counter. Had maintenance come twice and couldn’t fix it.

The decor.

I left some medicine in a lunch bag in the fridge. I called that day and said I could come back and pick up, but wanted to confirm they found the Rx. I called twice and no one would call me back. Third time I called and they said it was tossed!!!

it was quiet and easy

the bed was lumpy (and the parking cost was not easy to see on the website)

The woman who checked us in, I believe she provide us with an ultimate guest experience. She went above and beyond in her service. Our room was beautiful and clean and we appreciated all the amenities.

NO, we loved everything about this hotel

Cleanliness.

I stay at Ayers properties about two dozen times a year. This location was well below other Ayers properties in terms of staff and service. Food was uncooked and of poor quality, which is unusual for an Ayers property.

They sanitize

I requested room service and didnt get my beds changed because I only stayed 2 nights.They just left linen in a bag for me to change the bed myself. If a guest requests room service they should honor the request in my opinion

What I did like best about the hotel is the exterior upkeep despite the lobby being cheaply done rather than dated is a bit of a turn off . The architecture of the place is nice but the overall property and rooms needs renovation,

What I didn¿t like about the hotel is the lighting . This is not the location for social media influencers, the bathroom is dated lobby and hallways, horrible lighting. I think they have a bed bug problem and they hold ur deposit up to 10 days.

The hotel was central to every location -- Hollywood, Venice Beach, Long Beach, etc. It's a beautiful hotel with a fire going every night. My son would run his lines downstairs by the fire once we got back to the hotel each night. Great experience!!!

Nothing at all! From the staff, the ambiance, to the location, everything was perfect!!

This hotel had a very European feel with unique, notable decor, both in the lobby and in the room. We enjoyed hearing the story of how some of the lobby decor came to be at the hotel and where it came from.

I was disappointed that the showerhead was fixed and not handheld and located so high on the wall that it made showering difficult for anyone not at least 6 feet tall.

The staff were helpful and caring. The hotel and rooms were clean and well appointed. Overall a very comfortable and stylish space. We would definitely come again.

The lobby and ambience of hotel was decorated well

Hotel linens and towels need to be cleaned better as there were several noticeable stains and debris

I loved the decor and charm of the lobby as well as the room

The view from our room was of the frwy. Although the traffic noise didn't bother us at all

The overall interior of the hotel was very clean and beautiful. Room was nice, and staff was friendly and helpful.

The room keycard demagnetized easily, had to come back to front desk twice to get it re-activated. The keycard that was supposed to open the parking gate did not work.

The staff was very nice and the location was convenient. The shuttle to the beach was nice.

The hotel was basically empty and they put us in a room across the hall from the washer an dryer/vending machines. The room had a buzzing hum that continued through the night. It sounded like a generator. Hot water dribbled out of the faucet.

Weird smell coming from room. Small pool.

Rooms were VERY clean! High ceilings, lovely large room and staff was very nice! I give 10 stars of cleanliness!

A bit close to the freeway.

The thermostat in the room was weird. Even hotel staff could not figure out how to operate it, but eventually I got it working.

The downstairs decor was beautiful and very Victorian. The smell of real wood was pleasant as well.

The staff are TERRIBLE!!!! When we checked in we were not even greeted with a smile. We were not given any direction to our room, in fact, we were not even told our room number! I had to ask  if I was reading her writing right. At end were not asked

As I was laying in bed (in my boxers) an airline pilot walked into my room. Someone at the front desk had incorrectly coded a key card. My privacy and trust of this hotel vanished after the ordeal.
