- The cutest cabin. Easy access. Loved staying here will be back again.
- Away from the crowd, quiet, beautiful scenery, breakfast, and staff.
- These Cabins were one of the biggest surprises in all my travels. The inside was very nice and very clean. Was just staying there on our way to Yosemite, anything else was full or crazy price. Staying here next time regardless!
Cons -
- The water heater knocks. I am a city folk. And while showering I hear a knocking. I was convinced it was big foot trying to break in lol it¿s a light knocking and only while showering but it was enough to scare the bejesus out of me lol
- The air condition was kind of weak for the whole cabin
- Sticking doors. Expensive for star level assigned to hotel

We were pleasantly surprised that the small cabin had recently been completely refurbished. The ac unit was whisper quiet unlike so many units in hotel rooms. The set up was perfect for us as it had a comfortable queen bed and a twin in a separate alcove.
Location, very friendly staff/owners, clean room, nice food.

Loved our stay. Fancy no, clean, cozy, friendly staff, YES!
Cabin was clean, comfortable and good location. The staff at the cafe was very friendly, courteous and helpful.
The place is unconventional - not what you expect. It formerly had four cabins, but now apparently there are only two. We stayed in #3 - #1 and # 4 are not there. The cabin looked shabby on the outside, but was delightful inside! The cafe/gift shop was fun, served good food.
Hard to find. Google Maps gave bad directions, sent us on a wild goose chase through winding hills. That’s not the property’s fault, but just expect bad directions this far up in the hills.
The view from the cabin was awesome. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food at the cafe was delicious.
Most everything. Clean, friendly, relaxed, cute and updated cabin, dog friendly with history on location.Good at restaurant was wonderful.
We had our large dog with us and not much area to hike or walk, but on the property. Which was ok for our one night stay into Yosemite. They were gracious and kind.
Easy check-in despite later than expected arrival.Excellent breakfast and dinner, always with large gluten free choice (one host is coeliac). Excellent base to explore Yosemite NP and Gold Rush in Columbia! Thanks to Steve and his team!
Proximity to Yosemite. Loved the balcony. It was great having the restaurant walking distance from the room. Loved being able to park next to the room.
The traffic noise.
The property has about 150 years of history, my little cabin was secluded, nice portch to hang out in the evening. Their resturant on the propery was exceptional, I ate dinner and breakfast there.
The Roku device for the TV was broken, so no TV viewing though I was perfectly ok with that. There was also quite a bit of traffic heading up and down the short-cut old glade road which ran in front of the property.

The cafe next to the cabins was wonderful. We met friends there after a long hike and it was delightful.
The room had a musty odor and probably there was mold under the floor board. There were not enough towels for three adults and we had to wait for the cafe to open to get the extra towel.

Excellent Food. Friendly staff. Cabin was complete with every amenity. Easy car parking beside the cabin. I liked the history of the place, and Old Priest Grade recommended short cut.
I think expensive for what was offered but there is little accommodation near to Yosemite. The cabins are a bit old for my liking.
40’ away from Great Oak entrance to Yosemite
Our expectations were to make sandwiches beforehand and take them on hikes, but there was no cutlery. Furthermore, there were no plates, bowls or kitchen utensils so we couldn’t have breakfast or dinner at the cabin either. Besides that, great stay!
