Hilton San Diego/Del Mar

Pros +

• The location is perfect! Walking distance to the Del Mar Fair and the beach! Good resturants nearby, easy freeway access
• The location, the staff and the pool area.
• The location is terrific. The staff is fantastic. The outdoor bar/seating area and pool area is very nice.

Cons -

• Once we got into our hotel room, my 5yr old son went into the restroom only to slip and hit his head on the toilet. The whole floor was wet and so was the counter. Tired calling the desk area and it took about 5 mins for someone to pick up the phone.
• The hotel is looking worn out. The carpet is thread bare in places, the elevator is slow and old, the furnishings are outdated, and it doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel anymore. An alarm went off around 4 am 2 night.
• The hotel is in need of a makeover. The carpeting is worn, the style is outdated, the is a huge parking lot and yet guests are charged $33 a day + California tax to park.
