Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge Carlsbad

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a nice selection. Everything was well-maintained. Bedding was comfortable. Can’t beat the location and view of the beach.

Parking is an extra fee and it was a snug fit for our truck.

The room price was pretty expensive for the quality you get, it felt more like a motel 6, but I've had better toilet paper at motel 6 . Plus there's an additional $19 a day for a parking spot and our room had a fireplace but no chairs to enjoy the fire.

Bathroom floor was wet entire 4 days. It was handicap bath which we did not request and it flooded entire bathroom every time used shower. Does not have proper drainage. Very annoying and grosd

The view from the hotel was amazing. The selection of breakfast items was very good. The hotel room was quite large.

Fabulous location.....5 minute walk onto the beach. Easy walking to Carlsbad Village, once we arrived, didn't use our vehicle again!

Hotel needs to update the bathrooms (Adding a fan)

Rooms are rather dim, bathroom is adequate - very basic and bland.

Staff superb. Courtyard was inviting and pleasant. Nice landscaping and fire pit. The breakfast is good and the view of the ocean was great. We saw some dolphins and had a chat with one of the friendly staff about the several dolphin species swimming by.

The location is great. Beach across the street. Short walking distance to restaurants.

Pool is a tad awkward to go swimming in. But the beach is across the street so oh well.

Awesome location! No need to rent a car, shopping & restaurants all very walkable. Being right across from the beach was amazing! The balcony outside the breakfast area is great place to sit & watch the sunset. Fire pit & pool were great!

We would¿ve loved a hot tub, but otherwise this hotel checks all the boxes at a decent price in a clean, safe California beach town.

Awesome hotel across the street from the beach, walking distance to Carlsbad Village, 10 minute drive to the Flower Fields and Legoland. Breakfast was awesome and you can't beat the view from the dining area.

The location. The staff was amazing.

The location of the breakfast is not ADA accessible. I was traveling with my father who is in a wheelchair and it was not easily accessible. The last day of our stay the elevator was out of order and breakfast was on the 2nd floor.

Location is absolutely incredible. It's literally across the beach and the beach is fabulous. Love the seating area that overlooks the ocean views. Staff were all so caring and courteous too.

Was hoping that there was hot tub outdoors but there wasn't one. For breakfast, would be great to invest into pancake or waffle maker.

Loved that the beach was directly across the street and that Carlsbad Village and shops were walking distance as well.
