Pros +

  • We love this property. And the staff is nice.
  • Very nice and clean property with nice pools and restaurant.
  • The mineral pool areas are nice.

Cons -

  • We had our dog with us. The fee is 100$ which is too much. It used to be less. Our dog makes no messes and is short haired. Someone else at the pool said they wouldn't stay again cuz of their pet fee. Also the pools are not hot enough during the winter. No one was in the large pools. Cuz 82° is too cold in the winter. The 3ft pool temp is just barely enough. Other pools in the area offer warmer temps for their pools. We have stayed here for 4 years, but may look elsewhere next time.
  • The dog policy was never made clear. I was shocked and appalled to get charged $100 upon check in, when I was exhausted after several hours of driving and it was too late to cancel without being charged. This is an exorbitant fee and it was never made known prior to my arrival. The front desk staff tried to blame it on the fact that I booked through ‘a 3rd party’ but I have booked other hotels through 3rd parties for years and never had this problem. I would not return for this reason.
  • The property is really two properties. One is newly built. The area we stayed in was a run down motel. The parking lot was full of potholes and crumbling, the walkway was narrow, chipped and had peeling paint. There were two large metal storage units. The landscaping was unkempt. The rooms are 10-20 yards from an apartment complex without any separation. The part of the property we stayed in screamed neglect. The rooms are motel rooms - paper thin walls, old plumbing. They’re decorated like campers but lack practical necessities like hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels and swimsuits or shelving in the closet needed because the bathroom is tiny. The room does have a hula hoop, though (???). We felt ripped off at $300 per night and won’t return even to stay in one of the newer nicer rooms. Oh, and a resort like that should have a fitness center.

Great location and ample size pool. Restaurant on the site is good.

The heaters in the room were too loud during the night.
