Homewood Suites by Hilton Bakersfield

Just a really well kept hotel. All of the staff is nice and helpful. The price of the room is decent. Breakfast and reception is all on point! Very nice outside sitting area! Love love love this hotel!

Wish they had a jacuzzi.

Sofa bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was not ready until 7am, when they said it started at 5am till 9am.

It was a nice safe location, we had some concerns when we got off the freeway! We didn¿t interact much with the staff, but they seemed nice enough. The room was almost great, except for the pullout couch bed.

The pullout couch bed was apparently broken. We tried to pull it out, because that¿s where the kids weren¿t meant to sleep - but it was actually zip tied shut! It was very late and we were super tired so it wasn¿t great.

Friendly staff, delicious breakfast. And super helpful when my toddler left a prized stuffed animal in the room post checkout.

Loved this hotel. The hotel was in a nice area. Very safe.

There wasn¿t much for breakfast. The pancakes only had left and eggs only had a tablespoon left. This was early (a little after 6am) The rest of the buffet was stocked. I enjoyed the oatmeal.

The staff very friendly and professional great customer service. Hotel very clean and great ambience.

The only think I liked was the location and the cleanliness.

The staff was rude. We booked handicap accessible and they allowed someone to extend leaving us on the second floor with a paraplegic. In the middle of the night we turned on the heater and it started smoking and the alarms went off and freaked us out.

They called last minute and changed all our rooms. Comped a room, which was acceptable, but they only comped for 1 night and it should have been 2. The staff came into comped room and removed all of our belongings accused us of smoking and charged us¿¿

The area felt safe, which was a concern in reviews of other hotels in town. The included breakfast was above average.

Customer service was poor. The front desk told everyone who showed up to check in that they were short-staffed and would have no rooms available until 3pm, then went back to eating her lunch.

Front of house staff was completely unprofessional at checkin. Felt the need to verbally accost me about my DL residence and eye roll when I explained why it didn¿t show my current address. Explained that her hotel was for business trips and not ¿locals.¿

We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and complimentary meals. They were very good. I have already recommended your hotel to family and friends who travel through Bakersfield.

Very comfortable stay! Quiet,clean,roomy and a nice kitchen!

Very quiet and peaceful

A glass broke about 7pm but there was no one on duty to come and vacuum any of small pieces putting us a risk for a potential cut.

Room was very comfortable and bed was perfect. I enjoyed being able to go downstairs and have breakfast.

Kinda outdated and beat up

The rooms are clean and spacious. The cleaning ladies do an excellent job and in addition are gracious and welcoming. While the breakfast selections are limited because of Covid, the food is fresh and well prepared.

While all the staff members are pleasant and polite, two, both of whom work the front desk, were not wearing masks. This is outrageous given that Kern County has had one of the highest incidence of Covid cases in the state.
