Hampton Inn & Suites Oakland Airport-Alameda

It’s located in a safe, quiet, and very convenient area.

It’s a minor issue about the room keycard. I had to reactivated it couple times.

Breakfast

Parking fee per day of $16. I chose this hotel because it did not have a parking fee. There was no fee on website or when I checked in. In addition, at checkout I asked of additional charges and they said no. Next day I noticed a charge to my CC.

The location was across the street from my event and is beautiful (right on the water). It was safe and quiet.

I checked in I found a bedbug in my room and the staff act as if it was not a big deal. The staff also lied and said they were going to have Terminix come in and inspect the room which never happened. They just put a group of kids in the room the next day

Breakfast

We didn't get the room type we reserved. It had no fridge, no microwave, no fan in the bathroom. We'd asked for a "handicapped" room, but the bathtub wasn't low enough to be accessible for the handicapped. So my wife got no shower! Poor service.

Location, price, breakfast

I confirmed with hotel twice before arrival that I would have a handicapped walk in shower. That was again confirmed at check in. When I walked up to the room, that's not the case. Very disappointing for a handicapped person who cannot use a bathtub!

Cleanliness, amenities including breakfast, helpful staff. When our first room keys didn't work, a passing maintenance man jumped in to help, running down to the front desk to get us replacement keys. He was so eager to help, it was like it made his day.

Really comfortable bedding. The room was clean and quiet. The shower was perfect. They had a great breakfast selection. They charged $10 for a shuttle to the airport. (A taxi was $20) Friendly staff.

Convenient location

I liked the room but I did not like the smell of the room. It smelled like a convalescent home. I also did not like the fact that I had to pay for parking when my reservation clearly said it was included.

Some of the exercise equipment didn¿t work The heating unit in our room was loud The comforter had stains on it. But the staff promptly brought us a clean replacement

Free Shuttle Service, Complimentary Breakfast

Phone did not work; had to call the front desk with my cell phone. No mini fridge. Cold room at night. I had to get up to figure out how to raise the heat. Used quilt from 2nd bed to keep me warm.

All of the above. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. The hotel was very nice, and near the airport, while the breakfast options were great. I would like to mention that the food was better than I have had at other hotels.

The shower could have a been a little more updated.

The rooms were spacious and the front desk staff was helpful.

The first room we checked in had water dripping sound. The decor and the furniture in the rooms were outdated.

Check-in customer service was very friendly and hotel was clean. The walk down to the water front was beautiful. King room was spacious and nice inside.

Close to airport

While I was watching tv there was a bug crawling in the mattress. Freaked me out that there my be beg bugs. I inspected the mattress and didn’t see any nor did I wake up with bites.

We got a great room location. Hotel added a bar, a little spendy. Hotel in a great location for us to drop in and see mom in Alameda.

Cleaning staff needs to pay better attention to the bathrooms. In the dining area the staff should be speaking English to each other. Foreign language should be for customers only.

The Hampton feels like home. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The shuttle is great for getting around the local area.

Liked the water view, the 5 bicycles in the lobby for a morning ride along the waterway path, the shuttle bus to and from the airport and rental car facility, the location near Alameda and Berkeley, the very helpful and friendly staff.

Would have liked for the bar to be open on the weekend.
