Beautiful

Our party was accused - without investigation - of being rude to other guests and told to leave the property.

The room was clean and spacious. Restaurant/bar had great food and drink selection. Staff in all areas were friendly and helpful.

We loved everything about our stay! The room with a private patio and outdoor shower was amazing! The dog bed and toys and bowls, and even a menu for doggy room service! What¿s not to like? We hope we can get a room to stay on our way back home.

Great location. Scenic backdrop. Exterior and courtyards of hotel beautiful and had a romantic feel. Staff was very pleasant. Free parking available or valet.

Stayed in a Jr. king suite. Interior of hotel needs a serious update. Very old looking, carpet unraveling and lots of stains. Walls dirty and scuffed. Rotted baseboards in some areas. Worst issue was the smell in our building in the hallways.

The location is amazing. The old world charm. Grounds are beautiful. Looks like an old Tuscan village.

The pool was disappointing. It is very small with hardly any room around it. In Arizona, the pool at a resort is top priority, especially in August. Our stay was all about the pool and this one just doesn¿t cut it (for the price we paid)

I selected one of the higher end more expensive rooms. After walking the property and seeing the layout I realized that probably wasn't necessary, all the rooms appeared to be very similar in size and features. So I probably overpaid.

Walls are too thin, I could hear everything in the next room and in the hallway, which made sleeping very difficult.

The service was excellent. We were met with a glass of champagne upon arrival. Nice bar with live music.

The pool area is a bit small

Location

The pool size was small not enough chairs for guest. The spa was dirty with missing tiles, the room was loud and had a horrible view of the parking lot where valet was parking vehicle sback & forth. This is not a 5 star hotel this is a 3 Star.

Royal Palms is beautiful and relaxing. The shade trees, private courtyards, delicious food, impeccable service, and ideal location makes for a memorable stay.

Really nice architecture

Common areas are very small, very limited food options (various restaurants but virtually same menu), dated rooms, bathrooms need renovations, rooms next to the main road very noisy. They sell this as a resot but when they should be just a hotel.

The grounds were very nice

The room and service quality was not that of a "5 star hotel" as advertised. Significantly overpriced and under-delivered.

Every staff member I met was very friendly and helpful. They smile a lot and greet people. The grounds are immaculate and stunning. Valet guys are super quick. I would definitely stay again. Beautiful place.

I loved the atmospherie, the Hotel is gorgeous! They upgraded us to a casida.

We had some minor problems and addressed them upon checkout but they only gave us a credit for the parking.

Loved this stop over in Scottsdale. Old historic resort with character and quality. The grounds are amazing. Room was large and the bar is not to be missed!

Every person on the property said hello, asked if they could assist, it was amazing. We were greeted with champagne, and treated like kings!

I loved the rustic charm of this place. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Everything was wonderful, from the service to my room, to the grounds. Although I did not partake, the offer of a glass of champagne when I checked in was impressive as well.

Friendly service, received a glass of champagne at check in, and an escort to my room then to the bar to watch the super bowl. Great service, food, and location.

We loved the intimate feel of this resort. Very charming, historic and scaled to feel cozy yet elegant. The staff was wonderful. Rooms and grounds were beautiful and clean. Loved the architecture, decor and history here. We want to return.

While the rooms are clean and nice, they are not spectacular. That being said, the A/C is FANTASTIC. Didn't love the $25/day parking fee...seemed a bit silly.
